I’ve been considering getting this game because I love Remedy, but I don’t have any friends. Has anyone had much experience with the match-making portion of the game and can comment on it?

Here’s an interactive map which shows the scale of the looting:
Here’s an article that goes into the specifics a bit more:
grist.org/…/public-land-sale-republican-senate-bi…
They’re selling public land (trying to, anyway) to the highest bidder, with no rules about how the land will be used. Expect private golf courses, Airbnbs, luxury summer homes, etc.

I’m willing to stand in front of a bulldozer if it comes down to that.
The thing in Florida is encouraging, although that was at the State level rather than Federal. I’m sure there are organizations who are going to oppose this… if this happens it will be irreversible and will effectively ruin western states, and put a huge dent in local economies. This will also hurt the people who don’t hike. People come to the western US from all over the world to use our public land.

It’s so sad! I can’t stop crying about it. Hiking is my entire life. I live in Washington and looked at an interactive map of the land they’re trying to sell. All of my favorite spots are in danger.
If you look at the map you’ll see how stupid it is… they’re cutting everything into tiny pieces so that even the land they don’t sell will lose it’s recreational value. The PCT will likely be completely ruined because of this. The way they’re cutting it up… there’s no logic to it. They’re doing this to hurt us.

Yup. And no one is talking about the theft of 250 million acres of public land, either. Netanyahu and Trump are both bombing Iran for political reasons and blaming it on nukes that probably don’t exist.

I’m glad he’s stubborn about including his monologues in his work. Every time someone complains about them I wonder why they keep watching his stuff. Find something without monologues there are so many options.

And then he hits on your Mom, and tries to trick her into reaching into his pocket. It doesn’t work because his creepy shit only worked on the women who were required to interact with him for their careers.

You’ll have a few minutes to admire their cute little ears as they eat you while you’re still alive. Silver lining!

Aren’t we already there? People still died when we were adequately funding the program, with the budget cuts more people will die than would have died without cuts.

Dual booting has existed for a long time but this same boost in performance when using SteamOS might not appear on desktops.
- Comment on SteamOS massively beats Windows on the Legion Go S 1 month ago:
I wonder if this same concept would apply to desktops. If you could install both SteamOS and keep windows for when you wanted to run something other than a game. This could be huge.

This is a very inefficient method of telling everyone that you don’t know how to camp for shit.

His last name, obviously. His ancestor getting his brains blown out gave him his entire career.

… OLED suffer from burn in. They have a built in expiration date. MicroLED is an exciting development that will improve upon existing technology. Probably.
- Comment on Are most people here left-wing? 2 months ago:
Annnnnnnd what? When did I dehumanize you? Human nature is precisely why I think a libertarian system would be a disaster.
- Comment on Are most people here left-wing? 2 months ago:
Maybe you should refer to yourself as a geolibertarian instead of just as a libertarian. It would prevent some misunderstandings.
That’s an interesting read. It’s quite a bit different than what I’m used to people who call themselves libertarians talking about. I still think it would unwind and would be ruined by human nature, but it would be interesting to see such a system in action.

I suppose it depends on the kid. Fruit seemed like a punishment to me when I was younger, and then when I got older I wondered how I could have been so ridiculous.
Maybe I disliked it because “the man” wanted me to eat it because it was healthy. Maybe the rebellious kids are the ones who hated fruit, but not because of the taste.
- Comment on Nice try 2 months ago:
It’s so funny that kids often don’t like fruit. Like, “no I want my sugar without chewing! How dare you make me chew. Fiber bad”
- Comment on Are most people here left-wing? 2 months ago:
In a purely libertarian society, parks wouldn’t last long. They would either become prohibitely expensive and yet another thing only for the rich, or they would be harvested and the land mined.
Making them public is the only way to ensure they remain as they are.
- Comment on Are most people here left-wing? 2 months ago:
You can’t be both a libertarian and pretend to care about parks and forests. Pick one.
- Comment on EXCLUSIVE - Ubisoft is Developing a Turn-Based Tactics Game Set in The Rainbow 6 Universe 2 months ago:
I don’t think there’s been a turn based game that has sold as well as BG3 in a long time. They’re just chasing trends. Something like XCOM is a better comparison in terms of gameplay and style, but doesn’t have the sales that BG3 has.
- Comment on EXCLUSIVE - Ubisoft is Developing a Turn-Based Tactics Game Set in The Rainbow 6 Universe 2 months ago:
I knew that the success of BG3 would have an impact on the industry, it was only a matter of time. This sounds fun.
- Comment on 'Gen V' Season 2 Gets a Super Update From Eric Kripke 3 months ago:
One of the reasons season 4 of The Boys was such a massive disappointment is that it has effectively killed any interest I have in any of the spin-offs. Which is an impressive feat, because I actually liked Gen V.
- Comment on Is Baldurs Gate 3's voice acting so great that it ruined other games for me? 3 months ago:
Alan Wake 2 has great voice acting. I think the main character is just naturally more subdued and when compared with the theatricality of BG3 it just seems worse if you’re expecting that style.

I’m autistic and trying to figure out if autism is an at-risk minority group. It doesn’t help that I was extremely vocal on Reddit about how much I hate Trump and Musk. I deleted my account, but Reddit is now a fascist platform and would likely turn over my posts and email address to this administration without a second thought.
I’m not sure what to do. I’m not sure if I could even leave at all, with my debilitating anxiety and trauma.
