Just so we’re all on the same page - this is the same disjointed wage growth we were seeing under Biden that we were being told wasnt a big deal. It’s obviously gotten worse under Trump, but this has been a growing problem since at least the dotcom bubble

- Comment on Reporting user to instance admins? 1 week ago:
A mod can correct me if im wrong, but my understanding is that, yes, it goes to all of those people
Ive reported a comment before for breaking a community rule, only to have the user banned on my own instance but not in the community or community instance. Which means they can continue interacting with my comments but I can’t see it or respond to it.
Intuitively, it makes sense that if a user is breaking a rule, it should potentially run all the way up the chain - but sometimes the community rule is far stricter and sometimes the instance rule is. Imo they should make this a little cleaner

Whoever drew this went to great lengths to keep Israel on the map
- Comment on What's going on with Borderlands 2? Steam is giving it for free, but the game has 23% positive recent reviews. 1 month ago:
IIRC Borderlands 3 scales the value of loot to the game’s difficulty setting, with some mechanics aimed at encouraging players to join online coops at high difficulties in order to earn more valuable loot. I imagine cheats undermine that intent, and I also imagine borderlands 4 might be aiming at a pay to play scheme.
I’m guessing this EULA is being used for all their IP with the intent of taking advantage of it in the future.
- Comment on Severance’s Skin-Deep Critique of Capitalism 2 months ago:
Jesus, this writer is dense.
Honestly, I never personally thought of this show as an explicitly Marxist critique of capitalism, but the way this article hyper-focuses on profit being an absent detail of the show makes me think they just don’t know what Marxism is. I don’t think there could be a clearer allegory of alienation of labor than the severance procedure.
I guess if that’s what you think Marxism is, fine. If Lumon having near total control over the lives of its workers isn’t a critique of class relations under capitalism, I don’t know what would be.

My dog once caught what I thought was a diseased rabbit (because how else could my fluffball catch a rabbit?), but now I’m thinking it was just a hare
Looked like it had just come back from the ethereal plane, its eyes were so wide

And I would hope those websites are extremely low-risk and not anywhere near essential infrastructure or data ;)

I’m not sure who needs to hear this, but unless you work as a security engineer or in another security-focused tech field, you really shouldn’t be exposing your homelab to the open internet anyway
Most people access their homelabs via VPN - i don’t see anything here that’s a problem for that use-case.

Someone with a medical background please tell me what on earth is happening inside that volume
All I can think of is that alien exo-suit from MIB with an alien operating him inside
