It seems like I have offended you in some way, and let me assure you that I don’t know how, but I am also utterly incurious as to why.

I am indeed aware of the existence of radios. I dislike radio because I prefer to have some level of control over what I’m listening to. Even with algorithmic slop I can skip tracks if I want.

There’s a girl on Instagram whose whole schtick is that she sends feet pics and stuff to MAGA guys and then openly mocks them for financing her lifestyle and donates some of the money to progressive causes. She has been doing it for months and I’m convinced part of the appeal for these guys is the humiliation ritual of being “owned.”

I had been using YouTube for “background noise” a lot — nothing political, just movie reviews and video essays about pop culture. In general, my YouTube diet is pretty non-toxic.
But I fell down a rabbit hole researching a band lately and have been obsessively listening to music for a couple of weeks. Mostly on my MP3 player to give my phone a break. And holy cow it feels nice not to be bombarded with curated Content all the time. I didnt even realize how consistently/constantly there was just STUFF on that, while not bad, wasn’t really contributing anything to my life.

Yeah, but the VOLUME is the selling point here, I think. I’ve never heard of this fucking dude and even if it was t transparently bad faith content his name wouldn’t make me (a universal “me” who is open to this) click.
The “it’s ten on one and he still destroyed the females” piece is what’s supposed to lure you in.

Different show. I assume the “Rock the Country” thing happened because of bad press related to the Super Bowl stunt.

That’s probably why he said “show” when posing the question, no?

I didnt know that either but it makes sense. I had raised this as an “ethical alternative” in the early days before I knew about the environmental impact.

I have repurposed it for Trump supporters, who ABSOLUTELY NEVER shut the fuck up about being Trump supporters and also are a genuine menace to others where vegans really are not.

First, you have to buy a SHITLOAD of Kool-Aid…

You can’t. They’re in a cult.

You should collect them all and get an illustrator. Make a little 50 page ebook. I’d buy it.

This is a strange article. Yes, women are subjected to unfair levels of scrutiny culturally, and yes, it’s entirely unacceptable that she has been receiving threats and harassment.
But first off, the article frames the death threats as on par with being parodied by a baseball mascot. That’s wild. The viral moment being joked about isn’t the same as harassment, and it’s disingenuous and weird to pretend it is.
Second, she is pretty clearly still downplaying this and not being honest — with the reporter, with herself, or both. “We weren’t an item at the time?” Get out of here with that.

In theory, the resort fees are intended to help pay for upkeep of “perks” like the pool, gym, entertainment venues, etc., whereas your room fee is paying staff and keeping your room clean.
