- Comment on USA uses Solomon Islands protests against China 2 years ago:
many experts have noted that the USA is behind all this turbulence. [...] Many proponents of convergence with Washington openly declare [...] China’s credibility, its inability to follow through on own pledges and declarations when things get too intense.
There it is, USA agenda summarised. They are simply global fascists and do not want a democracy of hegemons.

- Comment on The right thing for the wrong reasons: FLOSS doesn't imply security 2 years ago:
As an ex-pentester, I can assure you that having a blackbox security tools returning no findings is not a sign that the software is secure at all. Those may fail to spot a flawed logic leading to a disaster, for instance.
I am tired of people acting like blackbox analysis is same as whitebox analysis. It is like all these people never studied software testing and software engineering properly, and want to do some commentary just because internet fame and the rest of the internet audience is dumber.

This serves as a springboard and a fallacy by omission that closed source is just as workable and trustable. I noticed this with r/PrivacyGuides and GrapheneOS Matrix room moderator Tommy_Tran/B0risGrishenko in this bullshit announcement post and comments regarding Rule 1 (no closed source software):

- Comment on What's your opinion about Discord? 2 years ago:
First things first, not FOSS, not federated, phone number requirement, VPN hostile, therefore bad. Pedos, MAPs, groomers, razor sharp edgy kids.
Now we come to a more non ideological analysis.
- For my OSINT investigations, Discord is fantastic. This is simply because it is a mainstream platform, and mainstream platforms are necessary evils. This is a use case hardly anybody has or should have, as it is a risky and tactical task.
- The trifecta of Reddit, Discord and Telegram has pretty much taken over forums and boards, as it stands.
- Discord works as a public forum exactly the same way as Telegram does, except it is a massive honeypot. A little careful observation tells all media is stored on Google Cloud, when a message is deleted. Telegram is incomparably superior to Discord despite having similar stances on privacy, security and anonymity, simply due to track record.
- Discord is a public forum, therefore it is not meant to be private, secure or anonymous as far as message content or metadata goes. The privacy comes from how secretive a guild ("server") itself is from masses, and what kind of content it hosts that will attract particular kind of users. The security comes from centralisation and 2FA via phone number, so impersonation attacks become insanely hard, unlike on pseudonymous, anonymous, or federated platforms.

Many people know this who keep up with smartphone news. BBK is a giant conglomerate at this point, but the rebrandings are also just restamped phones with modified software UI.

@dessalines@lemmy.ml I need to alert you on this one. This user @TheAnonymouseJoker@narwhal.city is not the same as me, the moderator of c/technology or c/privacy or c/privatelife.
We have an example of yet another clever impersonation attack, this time using other federated instances.

- Comment on Thoughts on r/antiwork drama and implications for Lemmy 2 years ago:
Very true. GrapheneOS community sockpuppeting, as I proved, or the recent anti Semite /pol/ brigading observed here, are fantastic examples of how anonymity abusers can work around voting systems and comment/post/user representation numbers.
I call these people "anonymity abusers" because that is what they do, and they do it to me. I experience it and I document it. I have to screenshot everything, and be swift and vigilant. It takes effort. But I do it because I do not want others to face this stuff.
And that also means democracy has to unironically stem from morally correct benevolent authoritarianism, because anonymity presents us with this paradoxical situation. There just does not exist any other way for humans at the moment. Maybe someday with AI and automated systems we could do better, but those are far away in time, and requires AI to also not be morally corrupt or practically faulty.

As of now, I believe that there is discrimination happening against separatist human rights activists by the American authorities and are detaining them to preserve the stability of the Capitol Hill region. But the rest of the world and the anti-Western hemisphere took this opportunity for a desperate attempt to undermine the United States government, and their media outlets have over-exaggerated the numbers of rioters by trusting non credible sources.
How does it sound like to you? Truthful? This will answer your question.
"Inb4 US media is credible" please check about Atlantic Council used for global censorship, USAGM, Bilderberg, CFR media and Murdoch media. Or how Snowden literally has to live in USA's arch enemy country for life, or how Assange lost in "democracy" courts and after rotting and being drugged in UK jail for few years, he is now ready to be extradited to USA for the butchering process.

No.
Also, from earlier comment above proves what you are doing here.
While you keep keyboard warrioring for the CCP online, real life Maoists and anti-revisionists are being imprisoned and oppressed by the bureaucratic traitors of Dengist descent.

Looks like a reactionary, talks like a reactionary... Marxists never behave like that.
And you recommending a random YouTube channel called Epic China as a credible source on Chinese politics speaks for itself, I think.
He is quite credible, and the 40 minute video shows how much research he does before he speaks. Also thanks for revealing that you called the channel name Epic China, and never actually bothered to even open the URL before opening your loud, reactionary mouth.
Socialists are a lot more humble than this. You will never be one. You are projecting when you are saying I am part of "Western middle class" who reads r/politicalcompassmemes tier stuff. I come from India, and I prefer to open my mouth only when I know about stuff.
- Comment on [deleted] 2 years ago:
This is a load of disinformation and grift.
The more important point in this entire debate is that clearly there is a level of alienation between the Chinese people and its official government. The PRC is not a socialist country, but instead a capitalist country led by a clique of those who idealistically believe they can control their local capitalists and harness their advancements of the productive forces, as if the state was superior to the ownership models of production.
And USA is communist? What else, Ukraine does not have neo Nazis in its army? CPC is pretty much a socialist government and China is a market based socialist economy. State capitalism lies are a point used by pro-imperialist neoliberals and even traditional Western right wingers. CPC aka state holds their corporations considerably accountable unlike Big Tech that highly controls citizens and governments in West.
The current leadership is the ideological descent of those who ousted actual communists from the PRC during the anti-Mao coup and have been oppressing them and democraticazion efforts (in a socialist sense) for decades. Many Tiananmen Square protesters were socialists.
This comment is clearly written by a person who has not read one sentence about Mao or Deng's works, or Xi's modifications to Dengism.
How is KMT socialist? IIRC they were a dictatorship that suppressed Chinese natives. Chiang Kai-Shek was a Japanese sent over. CPC is socialist, and you are blatantly lying.
Here are lots of bits and pieces from Nathan Rich, who does the Epic China series. He is by far the most credible historian on China (that communicates in English) outside of those dingy libraries. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XID9cVqNEtQ
