- Comment on 'Oh god': There's a buried Steam help page that shows how much money you've ever spent on the platform, and you may not want to know 2 days ago:
My 17-year-old account is at $600. That’s an average of $35 per year.
Most of my gaming spending for the last 8 years has been on Nintendo Switch. That number is too embarrassing to post.

To be fair, plenty of telemetry is still being sent by Microsoft in Windows 10. It’s not as bad as 11 though.

Lol…that’s funny and also so depressing.

Well I’m hoping to live in a world where banks don’t provide loans anymore. I’m demanding a better world than this nightmare that is unregulated capitalism in the US.
I’m demanding a better world than any economic system that incentivizes and rewards screwing each other over and hurting one another in a race to get ahead.

Loans with interest rates above inflation are weapons. They are violence. Why should we all have to pay more than something is worth for our education, our transportation, our housing? Why are we paying directly for these things at all?
Government should be providing all this for its people. Higher education should be provided. Starter housing should be provided. Public transportation should be provided.

I don’t think there is anything stopping nintendo from making 64GB or larger cartridges except the cost.

Thank you for the clarification!
I still don’t like it.
- Comment on Nintendo Switch 2 Game-Key Card Overview 2 weeks ago:
So they essentially stuffed a download code into a physical cartridge to make people feel like they are getting something?
Isn’t that needless and wasteful? Isn’t it also going to trick unsuspecting people into buying something they think is a physical version of a game but isn’t?

Indeed!
- Comment on Magic: The Gathering devs unban cards as ‘an experiment’ 2 weeks ago:
I can’t tell if this is just Wizards of the Coast panicking and flailing because they are out of good ideas, or if they are actually carefully analyzing and re-evaluating older cards because the balance and synergy of the current cards allow for the use of these older cards without being game breaking.

Yeah IMO both shows have amazing music!

You’re The Worst
– A dark comedy / romantic comedy that centers on two toxic, self-destructive people who fall in love and attempt a relationship. –
Absolutely amazing TV show by Stephen Falk. Criminally underrated. It is my favorite show of all time. It should be available to stream on Hulu, otherwise pirating it may be the only way to watch it.

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts
A bright, wonderful and adorable show (animated by Dreamworks) that follows 13-year-old Kipo navigating a post-apocalyptic world full of evolved animals, and making friends along the way.
This is a family-friendly show that took me about 7 episodes to get hooked. I am so glad I stuck with it! Made by Radford Sechrist and Bill Wolkoff. It’s on Netflix. It also had a small DVD release that may be difficult to find.

This is great because Nintendo charging $60 for Advance Wars Re-boot Camp on the Switch was way too high for me to consider it.

Most democrats at the federal level are complicit in a lot of what’s going on, including Musk’s DOGE treasury crap (crimes?) despite him not being a government employee or confirmed by the senate. Hell, most federal democrats JUST in the last year voted for the legislation that enables ICE to indefinitely detain any suspected immigrant suspected of committing any crime. No due process. No actual crime needed.
Screw voting for democrats. Democrats voted to let the government round up the people I love to be deported or tortured. If we still have the power to vote, vote for leftists. Or vote for left-of-average-democrat people like Bernie.

- Comment on Are mods usually confusing as hell or am I just an idiot? 2 months ago:
Also the timeline usually matters. Mod methods can change as game patches are released. Mods can have mod patches. Mods can be deprecated for new mods or mod methods. Mods can have other dependencies. Install order sometimes matters.
I think OP is right; mods can be messy, complicated, and a lot of work.

I don’t think it’s fair to say Super Mario Bros. was always bad. People played the heck out of it when it released. One could argue that’s because it was bundled with the system, but I believe the consensus is that it is considered one of the best games of its time. It’s probably one of the top 3 NES games still played today. It is legendary.

You are going to see a rise of Dominionism in action over the next 4+ years. As long as Dominionism isn’t in direct opposition to the oligarchy, it will continue to rise. See project 2025, prayer in schools, mandatory displays of the ten commandments, federal money going to religious schools, churches endorsing the republican party and not losing their tax-exempt statuses, etc…

- Comment on All the Games Reportedly Set for Release on Nintendo Switch 2 - IGN 2 months ago:
Nintendo has had such terrible quality control when it comes to performance on Switch. First party Nintendo games even suffer from unacceptable framerate drops. So many Switch games struggle to perform well on the Switch; we need a Switch 2 just to get all the Switch 1 games to play at the intended performance level.
