“The HPGamerMate includes a patented AI-powered blockchain-secured cloud-enabled software-encrypted physical lock on the back of the unit to prevent unauthorized access to the inside of the device. Any attempts to circumvent the hardware lock are considered to be attempted circumvention of the software encryption and will be prosecuted under the Digital Millinnium Copyright Act of 1998 or your region’s specific laws.
HP takes the security of its products seriously and will never burden users with being able to service our devices.”

“We at HP believe that our products are just that: our products. Not yours. Let us maintain our products for you with features such as: mandatory subscriptions, and firmware updates that remove features and user freedom – simplifying and streamlining your experience.”

This is great because Nintendo charging $60 for Advance Wars Re-boot Camp on the Switch was way too high for me to consider it.

The New York Times is complicit in all the genocidal shit happening to trans people right now. For over a decade they were turning public opinion against trans rights and equality.

If you want to support a creator, give them a quarter and block the ads. Seriously. That quarter is worth more than any ad revenue they will ever get from you watching their videos.

Most democrats at the federal level are complicit in a lot of what’s going on, including Musk’s DOGE treasury crap (crimes?) despite him not being a government employee or confirmed by the senate. Hell, most federal democrats JUST in the last year voted for the legislation that enables ICE to indefinitely detain any suspected immigrant suspected of committing any crime. No due process. No actual crime needed.
Screw voting for democrats. Democrats voted to let the government round up the people I love to be deported or tortured. If we still have the power to vote, vote for leftists. Or vote for left-of-average-democrat people like Bernie.

High seas is still the best way to experience these games!
- Comment on Are mods usually confusing as hell or am I just an idiot? 1 month ago:
Also the timeline usually matters. Mod methods can change as game patches are released. Mods can have mod patches. Mods can be deprecated for new mods or mod methods. Mods can have other dependencies. Install order sometimes matters.
I think OP is right; mods can be messy, complicated, and a lot of work.

I don’t think it’s fair to say Super Mario Bros. was always bad. People played the heck out of it when it released. One could argue that’s because it was bundled with the system, but I believe the consensus is that it is considered one of the best games of its time. It’s probably one of the top 3 NES games still played today. It is legendary.

You are going to see a rise of Dominionism in action over the next 4+ years. As long as Dominionism isn’t in direct opposition to the oligarchy, it will continue to rise. See project 2025, prayer in schools, mandatory displays of the ten commandments, federal money going to religious schools, churches endorsing the republican party and not losing their tax-exempt statuses, etc…

The Switch has so many good games! Sure, most are available on other platforms as well, but overall it’s such a great system.
- Comment on All the Games Reportedly Set for Release on Nintendo Switch 2 - IGN 2 months ago:
Nintendo has had such terrible quality control when it comes to performance on Switch. First party Nintendo games even suffer from unacceptable framerate drops. So many Switch games struggle to perform well on the Switch; we need a Switch 2 just to get all the Switch 1 games to play at the intended performance level.

- Comment on Why does it seem like Americans have become so hateful and destructive in the past years? 2 months ago:
I would argue that any actual increased aggression could simply be attributed to the state of the country (the US federal government is broken) and the fact that most US americans are not having their needs met financially. The billionaires who run the system dramatically increased the prices of everything that’s not optional to pay for: food, housing, insurance, etc…
People feel helpless, overworked, and angry.

The fact that you’re getting downvoted for essentially saying “just be a respectful, reasonable, and decent human being” is pretty bizarre. Like, can we just have some empathy and patience for each other?

- Comment on Help me out: which looks better for the Duck - the neck tie or the bow tie? 2 months ago:
I think the neck tie looks better overall, but I still prefer the bow tie because I have a much more positive association with them. I see people put bowtie collars on their cats and it’s always adorable. When I see neckties on an animal, I either think ‘cute animal that’s always getting down to business’ or ‘criminal’.

This is exactly the kind of behavior that modern capitaliam produces: money, power, and growth at any cost. Others are no longer people or equals, they are tools. Morals and ethics must be left behind to “succeed”.

United States law enforcement agencies have the ability to eavesdrop on Skype conversations and to have access to Skype users’ geographic locations. In many cases, a simple request for information is sufficient, with no court approval needed. This ability was deliberately added by Microsoft for law enforcement agencies around the world after they purchased Skype in 2011.

Although I think Microsoft implemented end-to-end encryption for skype for single conversations at a time in 2018.
