You are going to see a rise of Dominionism in action over the next 4+ years. As long as Dominionism isn’t in direct opposition to the oligarchy, it will continue to rise. See project 2025, prayer in schools, mandatory displays of the ten commandments, federal money going to religious schools, churches endorsing the republican party and not losing their tax-exempt statuses, etc…

The Switch has so many good games! Sure, most are available on other platforms as well, but overall it’s such a great system.
- Comment on All the Games Reportedly Set for Release on Nintendo Switch 2 - IGN 4 days ago:
Nintendo has had such terrible quality control when it comes to performance on Switch. First party Nintendo games even suffer from unacceptable framerate drops. So many Switch games struggle to perform well on the Switch; we need a Switch 2 just to get all the Switch 1 games to play at the intended performance level.

- Comment on Why does it seem like Americans have become so hateful and destructive in the past years? 6 days ago:
I would argue that any actual increased aggression could simply be attributed to the state of the country (the US federal government is broken) and the fact that most US americans are not having their needs met financially. The billionaires who run the system dramatically increased the prices of everything that’s not optional to pay for: food, housing, insurance, etc…
People feel helpless, overworked, and angry.

The fact that you’re getting downvoted for essentially saying “just be a respectful, reasonable, and decent human being” is pretty bizarre. Like, can we just have some empathy and patience for each other?

Alternatively, if a woman asks you not to call her a guy or a dude, respect that.
- Comment on Help me out: which looks better for the Duck - the neck tie or the bow tie? 1 week ago:
I think the neck tie looks better overall, but I still prefer the bow tie because I have a much more positive association with them. I see people put bowtie collars on their cats and it’s always adorable. When I see neckties on an animal, I either think ‘cute animal that’s always getting down to business’ or ‘criminal’.
- Comment on Disgusting money driven mindset 1 week ago:
This is exactly the kind of behavior that modern capitaliam produces: money, power, and growth at any cost. Others are no longer people or equals, they are tools. Morals and ethics must be left behind to “succeed”.

They were dead to me after the luigi incident. Now this is mearly affirming my opinion of them as a company.

United States law enforcement agencies have the ability to eavesdrop on Skype conversations and to have access to Skype users’ geographic locations. In many cases, a simple request for information is sufficient, with no court approval needed. This ability was deliberately added by Microsoft for law enforcement agencies around the world after they purchased Skype in 2011.

Although I think Microsoft implemented end-to-end encryption for skype for single conversations at a time in 2018.

Some estimates put conventional CD and DVD lifespans at 25 years, however they can last decades longer than that if they are stored away from UV light, and stored in a moderate temp and humidity controlled location.
Under similar conditions, blu-rays are estimated to last around 100 years, and blu-rays that use non-organic dye layers (such as M-disc) can reportedly last 1000 years or more.
As moisture finds a way between the layers, the disc will degrade. Too much bending or flexing of a disc will encourage separation of the layers.

Isn’t weed the same way? I can always smell it on people who smoke it. It might not be quite as ‘sticky’ as cigarette smoke?, but I can still smell it on people’s clothes until they are washed, or in their house or car.

Are you okay having the tables flipped and someone calling you “sis”?
Using male language as the default may not bother you and you may have no ill intent with it, but it does have a history tied to it. A history where women were seen as less than and didn’t have equal rights. Western society still uses male language slang regardless of gender (hey guys, dude, bro, bruh) and it all stems from a history of a patriarchal society. Every time we say, “hey guys” to refer to a mixed-gender group, we perpetuate patriarchy, whether we intended to or not.
Legally and overall culturally, women are still seen as less than and we still don’t have equal rights (e.g. divorce and abortion law).

Encourage your friends to commit to leaving if they have the means to do so. Within your friends’ lifetimes, the USA will never get better than it is right now (and overall it’s unprecedentedly bad right now).
To OP’s question: I don’t really consider your Aunt’s ownership of a few houses to be a practical problem. She was told her whole life that investing in real estate is a smart thing to do and provides financial security.
The problem is with lack of regulations, such as how many buildings someone is allowed to own, corporate ownership, rent prices…things like that.

I backed the PS version of a game three years ago and they released it for PC but not for PlayStation. They still claim the PS release is coming. I don’t believe them, so I pirated the PC version.
Crowdfunding is scammy. You aren’t actually buying anything and have few rights or consumer protections. Stay away.
