the other side of the world wouldn’t notice there suddenly being no light anymore if there wasn’t light in the first place.
they would notice that the moon disappeared though
- Comment on Gottem. :) 1 week ago:
it’s because light takes 8 minutes to get from the sun to us. and since gravity also travels at the speed of light our orbit would only change after 8 minutes.

oh, according to electroboom they were gfci.
- Comment on Why do so many UK electrical sockets have an on/off switch next to them? 3 weeks ago:
when any electricity leaks out (for example through your body) it switches off. the eu also has the same system, but its one switch for your entire house. the us also has this but only in bathrooms.

that’s a 12L bucket. average lung capacity is 6 liters. every breath he breathes out, the air gets stored in the bucket. then he breathes it in again. he’s not breathing any fresh air, just his own breath.
this is also why you die from cheap diving masks
- Comment on Shopping 3 weeks ago:
so much dead air space, he’s literally just breathing his own breath. not fresh air.

are you even reading my comments? or are you misunderstanding them by purpose?
- Comment on american culture 1 month ago:
that’s… not what I said??? geography teaches you the military strengths of a country, not the name of the country. all of your ‘arguments’ are based on you saying that geography is topography.
topography=names of countries and regions
geography=global politics, global economy, how the earth formed and works, how global markets work. etc.
- Comment on american culture 1 month ago:
because your many years of experience with the subject geography have taught you that geography is topography?
- Comment on american culture 1 month ago:
that’s… what I said? geography helps you understand what each side intends to do and is capable of doing.
geography ≠ topography
- Comment on american culture 1 month ago:
geography also teaches you how the weather affects the earth via erosion, which lets you predict if it’s a good idea to build a house somewhere (not really relevant in 2034 though)
also, you’re confusing geography with topography
- Comment on american culture 1 month ago:
yes, you dont need to know about the history of the weather and why it happens to understand that it will be raining tomorrow. But, i think it’s kinda relevant to know how and why to understand what side of a conflict to support.
geography also helps you understand the claims politicians make and to see if they’re bs
- Comment on american culture 1 month ago:
the illias and the odyssey are ancient greek literature, I don’t think they’re that fun to read.
But, you still should be taught about their existence in history.
- Comment on american culture 1 month ago:
I don’t reccomend reading/listening to the original, but reading/listening to one of Steven Fry’s books about them.
- Comment on american culture 1 month ago:
yes it is. you learn how the world works. what gets exported from where. where the refugees come from and to, and why. what conflicts there are, where, and why.

I said (or at least meant) that imperial doesn’t use powers of ten like metrkc
- Comment on Anon's in trouble 1 month ago:
pounds per square inch. the us version of bar or n/m²
- Comment on Anon's in trouble 1 month ago:
no, not at all. bar is a logical metric unit, psi is imperial. because the us doesn’t know what powers of 10 are, there’s never a nice conversion factor.
