I’m a weirdo, so Massive Chalice.
It has a strange high-concept premise where you are an immortal ruler defending against a monstrous army that only attacks every decade or so. Any surviving individual squad member will only be able to go on a handful of missions before aging out, so you are also managing familial bloodlines to birth new soldiers, while controlling for genetic and social traits that get passed down. I love the uniqueness and big ideas. It’s far from perfect, but you asked for favorite not the best.

Hey, the bi flag similarity got me to open the post when the girl in the arcade hadn’t. Wish I’d been reading these the whole time though, great stuff! I’ll definitely check out future posts, no matter which image you use. :)

Huh, so it’s taking place in 2 AD instead of 2077. Weird direction to take.

Nobody called it the PS1 until the PS2 came along. Sony codenamed it the PSX.

My work laptop has one, but it’s pretty much always closed and connected to a dock so I never use it.

Random interesting thing:
Birds also need sunlight to synthesize vitamin D, but their skin is blocked by their feathers. So the chemical precursors to vitamin D are in their “preening oil”, a substance they secrete from a gland and rub on their feathers with their beak, a activity called preening. The sunlight hits it and forms the vitamin D, and they end up swallowing enough of it the next time they preen. The preening oil also contributes to the feather’s waterproofing and keeps them flexible.

Is this a video game specific phenomenon? Just an example, how many of an American “Top 100 Greatest Movies of All Time” are from India?
