Yes this is a NY City thing. Everywhere else we all move out of the way.
But fuck it, US deserves some negative propaganda, so have at it!

The kid is growing up in a World on fire. People his age are screwed.
Let him have fun & do what he wants.

On a more professional/advanced level I agree.
But for average users, they accomplish 90% identical tasks, but Krita, while less mature, is more intuitively designed (superiorly designed I would argue), and uses better algorithms for things like select & fill.
Also Krita is less ugly. Sorry, I’m notoriously shallow.

PopOS (scroll down to the “Pop_OS with Nvidia” link).
It is tailored for Nvidia cards, is Debian(Ubuntu) based, & super friendly for new users.

Alphabet Soup People? Are you five?

Totally. When I have parties, everyone dances to the sound of one guy telling jokes while another guy laughs hysterically like someone trying to impress their boss on the golf course.

Hey, I still have that exact iMac on my garage!
It’s got Yellow Dog Linux on it lol

I am an artist & I agree, actually.
II do think it’s a problem that corpos are using AI to replace working artists. That’s kind of a bigger problem, though.
That said, and I will get hate for this, there is a case to be made that if artists were more creative and interesting in general, they wouldn’t be so easily displaced by AI slop.
- Comment on AI Traning 2 months ago:
You’re right about this. I was commenting in the context of “intellectual property”.
- Comment on AI Traning 2 months ago:
Yeah. That is true.
- Comment on I guess we are fucked now 2 months ago:
There is an entire sub-genre in Comics of cartoons riffing on Garfield like this one. Nearly every cartoonist has done it and, oh my lord, it fills me with joy & reminds me why I actually love people.

The big difference is Deepseek is open sourced, which ALL of these models should be because they used our collective knowledge and culture to create them.
I like AI. The single biggest issue is how it is being gated off and abused by Capitalists for profit (It’s kind of their thing).

Now see, I wouldn’t know because I don’t check prices on the Internet. I just go, buy some shit if it’s there, if it’s not, I get annoyed & maybe try somewhere else if it’s important enough for me at that moment.
I guess I just don’t like online shopping, it feels like a chore to me.
That said, I am privileged enough to live somewhere where there are multiple options for shopping close, so easy for me to say.

Sleep easy OP, this is likely some bullshit.
- Comment on Not everything needs to be Art 5 months ago:
Well said.
I’d like to add that the biggest problem, imo, is the closed source nature of the models. Corporations who used our collective knowledge to create AI only to sell it back to us is unethical at best. All AI models should be open source for public use, like libraries. Corpos are thrilled we’re fighting about copyright pennies instead, I’m sure.

You’re blaming the wrong people. Being sensitive of triggers is a good thing, advertisers are the problem.
If you look into the history of radio & television, you’ll see the same pattern. Like the interne, at first, they were an awesome medium anyone could use and all kinds of badass stuff happened. Over time, everything became consolidated & advertisers insisted on censoring for maximum efficiency.
Eye on the ball.
