I’m playing right now. When Verso tries to recruit Monoco to go to old Lumière, Monoco is like “No thanks, after last time I made a promise to never follow you again”, to which Verso responds “There’ll be lots of fights…”, and Monoco is “I’ll follow you anywhere!”. The delivery is a lot better obviously.

Witcher 3, which I played like 3 months ago. There was this one goofy quest where you had to save a mage by getting a magic book with a weird name that you could abbreviate to GOG. You needed a spell from it to disable the mage’s tower defence and regulatory management system (something along those lines), or DRM for short.

Got into Expedition 33 this week. Just got to the point where the huge stuffed puppet learned to swim. Gotta say, I don’t get the hype.
I think they tried to souls-likify a JRPG. But it just feels like combat is one QTE challenge after the other. No other mechanic really matters, at least on normal mode. Also it feels like the main story, which seems fresh and intriguing, barely gets glanced over, while interpersonal relationships get a korean drama level exposition.
I’ll tag along for a little while longer because the voice acting is stellar. The rest is meh IMHO

A friend convinced me to pick up RE Village because it suposedly plays more like an FPS than a classical RE horror game. I did beat Dimitrescu recently and I kinda have to disagree with him. There are so many moments that feel very tense because enemies aren’t vulnerable because “magic” so you have to play cat and mouse like in RE 3 with Nemesis. I do like it enough that I’ll keep at it though. Love turning those red rooms blue on the map.

Finally starteed playing Kingdom Come Deliverance 1. A lot of the design decisions in the game are antithetic to my idea of fun. But there’s a healthy mkd community and a handfull of QOL mlds later I’m having an absolute blast

You hit the nail on the head. Soulslikes aren’t about difficulty, they’re about patience. And when school was the only thing I had to worry about I had patience. Now that I have to fight for 30 minutes of game time I don’t. Great decision by the devs!

One game I love that hasn’t been mentioned yet is Subnautica. The only survival crafting game I ever finished. The story telling and athmosphere are unmatched.

I had to stop playing specifically because of the combat. Felt like a cheap mobile game. Didn’t even make it far enough to experience the character interactions.

Sounds like you’re over saturated and need a break from gaming. Happens to a lot of us.Try not gaming at all for like 2-3 months. It’ll feel fresher afterwards

Fantastic piece of software. Allows you to block IP, ports and domains, even with wildcards, either globally or per app.
