It's always hegel. It's always a fundamental impossibility that exists in everything. Has there really been 0 philosophers of any merit since Hegelian dialectics?

Do you really not see an issue with the approach being taken here? You're looking for resources that you assume will help you, but in the spirit of the matrix movies, "You can't see past the decisions you haven't made yet."
The brain hasn't evolved to retain information it doesn't deem useful. I guess what I'm really getting at is, how can you be confident that anything supplied here will be retained if you were previously unaware you even needed to know in the first place? Don't underestimate the value of deep learning via experience rather than preparation imho. I promise I'm not shade-throwing, I was much like you when I was younger and have a couple similar reddeet posts, and it was mostly wasteful preparing to prepare nonsense if that makes sense.

I respect these words of wisdom immensely as someone who should have had a mentor spell this out for me years ago.
I'm not trying to bothsides you at all because I agree with you 99%.
I just wanted to add a few niche areas like appliance/car/repairs/etc, videoform can be lifesavingly convenient in pinches

It's a symptom of having been raised at the peak of a deconstructionist age. Doubt is how we reinforce our beliefs. I'd say you can absolutely stop it, but wouldn't you somewhat doubt that you can absolutely do much of anything if you meditate on it long enough?

I'm quite curious to know what you mean by 'usefulness' in this context?

Why do you think this, and what does cycle even mean in this context? If everything is just a cycle repeating, couldn't you argue we're also frozen in a non-cyclic lack of progression?

You're overthinking it. It's bait for the low EQ and gullible. Call it efficient, some call it natural Darwinism.

Alphabet boys are excellent at dividing and conquering. The only term I'm willing to engage with is cypherpunk which has origins in cryptography and other privacy enhancing technologies. Our current situation makes corroboration difficult as privacy as become so grossly stigmatized beyond belief.
I desperately wish for a reunion of like-minded privacy enthusiasts (what was cypherpunks). Unfortunately I'm more often than not met with hostility because our kind is often pessimistic, critical, and honestly paranoid of others being feds lol
It's a tough struggle but I think the other _*punks were an attempt at renewing the movements of old in a new way.
