I think I see a generic politically correct religious figure in those flowers.

It makes a generation feel special if they are convinced that they are enduring something extraordinary. Every single generation has had plenty to complain about but the loudest will be the current generation of course.

I thought the 2 babies he modified were healthy and with the family. Science fails all the time before success. Still not sure why we should hate this guy for pushing the boundaries. I guess I’m pro genetic editing.
- Comment on woolly mice is bioweapon 2 weeks ago:
Why is he disgraced for modifying embryos? I feel like there’s something major im missing. These were women who were aware of the editing and one of the parents had HIV. Not sure why this is so unethical other than the whole pro life movement.

I’m wired as well. I’m using a Intel 14 NUC Pro for the client (Intel Quick sync decode) connected via gig Ethernet. The host PC is a 9950x3d, 6200CL26 OC ram, RTX 5090. I’m using Apollo/Sunshine for the streaming and am using a 115fps framerate cap. I’m using the max of 500 mbps for streaming. The decode/encode/latency total is typically 5ms.

I’m all about Stalker 2 and RDR2 at the moment. My favorite new thing is streaming from my PC to my basement TV and still getting 4k/HDR/120fps

Oh guess I’m not a real gamer. I played exclusively PC games, rip

We have fusion (hydrogen) bombs. We just haven’t figured out how to maintain and efficiently harness it.
- Comment on logs are for quitters 3 weeks ago:
I wonder if that’s actually factual or not. Uranium by itself isn’t too terribly dangerous. It’s the whole fission byproducts thing that’s the buzz kill.

I think your chances would be better against a human driver. Once these are fully automated they will have about 20 cameras covering every angle possible.

Whatever. If it’s Linux, Democrat, anti establishment, and anti US then it’s popular on Lemmy, got it.

- Comment on Anon is waiting for Japan 1 month ago:
Huh? What countries have more advanced AI than the US?
- Comment on Anon is waiting for Japan 1 month ago:
No, AI is one of the chief innovations which is a huge money maker. Don’t forget the US still dominates the enterprise server market which is worth trillions. Processors and GPUs are still designed and some manufactured here. Innovation comes in all shapes and sizes, AI is just the latest buzz.
- Comment on Anon is waiting for Japan 1 month ago:
That still hasn’t happened in the US though. Hardware is produced overseas but a huge chunk of the most used software in the world is produced in the US. The chips are designed in the US, some produced here but most overseas. Does that only apply to manufacturing?
- Comment on Physicists vs Normal People 1 month ago:
That looks like a dead pedal (foot rest), not a clutch pedal. Normally only the gas pedal has a full pedal face on it. A clutch pedal normally looks like a brake pedal.

The company is the heart of the software and it would not exist without the company most likely. True the execs get probably a larger share of any payments but it’s just the way the world works. It’s a piece of software produced by the company, not the developers.
- Comment on Anon uses Discord 1 month ago:
Comprehended, yes this is reality you speak of.
- Comment on Anon uses Discord 1 month ago:
To support the developers and pay for a product you use all the time? Same reason you pay for any software/game.

Yea it’s just the obsession that is so of putting to me. Like why does it have to be rubbed in my face constantly here. Sigh. I left Reddit since I did not agree with their policies and how they handled the API privatization/AI crap. All I’m saying is for a good chunk of people out there, and I venture it’s closer to 90% of the people, not 10%. It’s unworkable for one reason or another be it inability to understand the system or incompatibilities.
