- Comment on Do most people still use computers, or do people only use a smartphone as their main/only device? 19 hours ago:
I’ve only ever used a PC to browse the internet and social media. I’m really not a smartphone kind of person! I think it’s because I’m mostly a PC gamer who has grown accustomed to always having a huge screen and having everything responding instantaneously, as opposed to a 3-5 second input lag on everything.
- Comment on Is it normal for high sugar contents like in cake icing to make my uvula tickle? 2 days ago:
I don’t know if it’s normal, but I have something similar where if I eat a lot of chocolate at once my temples start to tingle. It’s been that way for as long as I can remember and I’m not allergic since I was tested for that.
- Comment on Why there is no photos of earth from space? 2 days ago:
There have been photos of Earth from space since 1946. There’s a Japanese geostationary satellite named Himawari-8 which takes a photo of the Earth every ten minutes.
The Earth isn’t flat and even the ancient Greeks proved it to be spherical. Some people don’t want to understand physics, and they feel fulfilled by thinking they’re “in the know” about something secret.

I still laugh at that stupid asterisk chair meme and I have no shame so you’re good haha. Just enjoy it!
- Comment on THE EARTH IS SPHERICAL, DIPSHITS 4 days ago:
I remember figuring out on my own that the Earth is spherical when I was 6 years old and I witnessed big ships disappearing from the bottom up over the horizon.

Fake. If that was me, those baguettes would be gone within 0.3 nanoseconds.
- Comment on Size of an adult Moose. And they are not as friendly as Bullwinkle 1 week ago:
A lot of people don’t realize just how huge moose are. I learned that the hard way when mine got far too big for me to mount so I could ride it everywhere.
- Comment on Speaking honestly, what has to happen for you personally to take to the street in protest of the current administration. 1 week ago:
If Trump starts invading my country, I’ll happily not only take to the streets, but I’ll sign up for military training and defend it.

Now I’m really craving some boiled eggs… Fortunately they’re worth around $3 USD here for a dozen!
- Comment on The one drawback to walking at night 2 weeks ago:
As a girl, I love taking walks in the evening/night or early in the morning, they really are a vibe! However if there’s a man who appears to be following behind me, I always grab my keys in my pocket to be ready to fight in case he tries anything. I will also text friends/family when I’m going out and text them when I arrive back home.
- Comment on What is something that keeps you up at night? 3 weeks ago:
My friends. I seem to have this weird ability where if I start talking to someone, time will go by really fast and then we suddenly realize it’s some ungodly hour of the morning.

- Comment on How are you actually doing today? 3 weeks ago:
Sorry about your day. Hope your mom feels better soon and today/tomorrow is much better!
- Comment on How are you actually doing today? 3 weeks ago:
I’m so sorry about your cat! hugs if you need someone to talk to I’m here! Pets can be our best friends and losing a best friend can be such a difficult thing to go through. In those 11 years I’m sure you gave her the best life she could, and she appreciates that dearly. Be sure to give yourself time!

Aww I’m so sorry! Losing a pet can be such a difficult time but I’m sure you two made a lot of happy memories together. I’m here if you need someone to talk to! Hugs

I’m doing great! Thank you for asking. I recently woke up from a nap, and now I’m hungry! Though I’m not entirely sure what it is I want to eat… How are you? 😃

- Comment on Permabanned from Reddit? 3 weeks ago:
I don’t use Reddit, nor do I tend to do so, so take what I say with a pinch of salt!
Reddit is one of those sites that utilizes AI moderation, so if you’ve been banned without any warning or notice, chances are your ban wasn’t even authorized by another human, but instead by a bot. Your IP address can either be static or dynamic, and if you have a dynamic IP address that changes to an IP that is associated with a user who got banned at some point in time, chances are the bot will see you as that other person and assume a ban evasion.
You could try appealing. If that doesn’t work, perhaps it’s best to shrug it off and try a different social media. Lemmy isn’t the biggest website in the world, but it’s one of the best social medias I’ve used and people here are generally helpful and friendly!

If it doesn’t reflect light, it’d be black. If it emitted its own light then there wouldn’t be shadows in the craters of the moon and we also wouldn’t have moon phases. It’s hard to tell if this person is actually being serious because this is literally just entry level physics.
- Comment on Why is it considered sexist to ask women to smile? 1 month ago:
It’s considered rude.
As a girl, my job isn’t to look attractive to guys. I smile when I feel like it, which happens a lot because I’m happy, but I’d still consider it rude if anyone told me to smile like it was an order. If you’re a guy and you wouldn’t tell other guys to smile in the same context, then that falls under discrimination based on sex.

I’ve had people tell me and my friends similar things to this. Some people just aren’t good with numbers and can’t put them into perspective with other numbers and arrive at scary conclusions with no further context. Canada has 40+ million people and side effects can include trivial things such as feeling tired or having a sore arm. On a similar note, 2 of the COVID vaccines were mRNA based and some people were scaremongering about how the vaccines must somehow alter your DNA because both “mRNA” and “DNA” sound vaguely similar.
