In Germany, if you are seriously sick or injured, you need support from someone who can make demands of the hospital and the doctors, otherwise you get no info and probably not enough treatment and medication. If Mutti doesn’t have anyone actively engaging with doctors and staff, Mutti is pretty much f’ed in proverbial a. Why? Because everyone is overworked and disillusioned and very tired, and there is never enough time or money to treat people properly because of the way our health system has been restructured: to be profit oriented - even public hospitals.
Still beats what they have in 'murica: at least you can get affordable treatment even as a nobody.

We have a customer, a big international corporation, that has very specific rules for their intranet passwords:
- Must contain letters
- Must contain numbers
- Must contain special characters
- No repeats
- Passwords must be changed every two months
- Not the same password as any of the last seven
- PASSWORDS MUST BE EXACTLY EIGHT CHARACTERS LONG
I can only assume that whoever came up with these rules is either an especially demented BofH, or they have some really really weird legacy infrastructure to deal with.

I think this is a huge problem even with people that would say about themselves that they respect women, or even that they are feminist. A lot of men on the left suffer from a total absence of introspection. They may not want to treat women differently, but then they just repeat patterns they have learned without any reflection, and end up doing just that - talk over women, mansplaining to them and so on. It’s the same with any privileged group of people.
Men/white people/other privileged groups: if you do not reflect your actions and question your own thought patterns and influences, you will likely discriminate against others. Because the wold that influences us is total dogshite. Strife to be better.
