- Comment on What's it going to take to truly stop the US? 1 week ago:
The US has directly captured or supported the overthrow of multiple heads of state. Nobody has ever done anything and they won’t now.
Too many Americans are actually supportive of this so there won’t be any major domestic repercussions. Maybe some hearings in Congress.
America is not going to fix itself. The corruption is built in. For the last 50 years (roughly), the system has been changed to make the people dumb and complacent; to make the President a puppet king who answers to the wealthy.
- Comment on After getting Silent Hill 'back on track,' Konami wants to make it an annual franchise 2 weeks ago:
Line must go up! Until the brain-dead who just buy annual releases without thought begin to pay attention, studios will continue to do this.
I’m still in shock that EA is not going to do an F1 26. They said they want to do better with the next one, so they’re skipping a year.

It’s not just Vegas. It’s also very popular in short-term rentals (like AirBnB) and other gig enterprises.

There was one in the version they sent to Steam. That’s what started all this.

I have an older 911 and that is just fun to drive. It’s just a fancy go-kart. My little Grom is also a blast to ride.

Wow. And just yesterday, there were a slew of articles about Squenix embracing AI to do Quality checks and other tasks.
I’m sure this is just a coincidence. /s
- Comment on Dallas Cowboys player Marshawn Kneeland dies at 24 2 months ago:
I was going to make a joke here but, damn, this is way too tragic.
The article didn’t mention if Kneeland had a history of depression. If he didn’t, they need to do an autopsy.

Felt a little like Hogwarts in Space.
- Comment on Where do you guys start in a Lower Decks rewatch? 3 months ago:
I start at the beginning.
For me, even the worst of S1 is still more entertaining than a lot of what’s out there to stream, in general.
It could also be that I have some sort of unhealthy obsession with Tendi.

TL;DR: The headline on the post is pretty much the whole article.

- Comment on 'Star Trek: Strange New Worlds' Needs to Imagine More for Its Female Characters 3 months ago:
Your comment about WoT - if they just talked to each other - resonated with me. I gave up reading the series halfway through because of that. If they just had Post-it notes, that would have made a difference.
As a fellow enjoyer of some flawed things, I haven’t gotten too far into this season. I’m a quarter of the way through the “holodeck” episode. I’m just not caring about the characters’ lives at this point.
I want to but I can’t.
I also find it odd that, apparently, the Federation is incapable of diagnosing and treating PTSD or mental illness in general. They have replicators and matter transportation but not therapy.

- Comment on Are drink coasters for people who frequently spill their drink or have trouble drinking without dribbling down the cup? 6 months ago:
Not a lot. You could try planing the edges to make it look even, but that would also mean having to stain/treat the wood after. Trying to get it to match would be a challenge.
- Comment on PSA: Get Your Parents Off the Meta AI App Right Now-This is bad, folks. Very bad. 6 months ago:
It’s been known for years that Meta/Facebook is only concerned about gathering personal information and nothing else.
Unfortunately, many people just don’t care. And they won’t until it hurts them. Even then they might buy into whatever BS Meta pushes to avoid responsibility.

The article points out that Starlink debris has been found on the ground in Canada.
It’s only one in roughly 3000, that we know of. The more of them up there, though, the more will end up hitting the ground.
