Like $20 for the first 90 minutes. Makes it very affordable to not own a truck for the few times a year you might need to haul something home

That’s what we were doing. It can still happen. If the item isn’t received back by Amazon for some reason then they charge you for the product again, even if 6+ months later.

Ive had this happen a few times. It goes something like this:
- i buy product and initiate return
- i ship item with return label
- as soon as return label is scanned then amazon will release the funds back to me
- if for some reason they don’t get that package then they say they didn’t get the item back and take the funds back. When this has happened to me it has been 6+ months later
- when i asked amazon about it they just tell me they didn’t get it back. I tell them i have the shipping confirmation receipt and that this is someone else’s problem and not mine.
- there’s a lot of back and forth and eventually they act like they’re doing me a favor by giving me my money back
I think the problem was one of the drop off locations we used was stealing products, or just straight up losing them. But it is insane to me that amazon comes back 6 months later. The only thing worse than buying a broken dildo on amazon is returning the broken dildo and still getting charged for it. Getting fucked by the broken dildo twice and not in the ways i had hoped!

You can also block calls from unrecognized numbers. Doesn’t stop them from being able to leave a voicemail though which is both good and bad

Oh, i mean the customers (husband and wife) loved it. They literally wanted it burnt when they asked for blackened. All my coworkers had tried to do just get the outside crispy from the spices but each time they didn’t cook the inside to be flaky enough. This occurred over several weeks. Each week the customers came in asking for it and my coworkers progressively cooked it longer each time but it was never good enough. We thought they were just trying to get free meals so when i said i would cook it, i was going for a “they can’t complain about this being undercooked” and much to my surpruse they actually liked it.

i once had a customer who wanted their fish “blackened”. Everyone else on staff had tried at some point and the customer always complained it was undercooked. So me being the new gal said id do it. I threw it in a pan and left it there for god knows how long. Then flipped it, left it there longer, and finally threw it into the back of our oven for another 15 minutes. It was literally charcoal when i was done. I was sure they would complain that it was overcooked but those fuckers loved it. They specifically requested me to cook their meal whenever they came in after that. I was just fucking with them the first time 🤷♀️

My work agreement is supposed to be 8-5 with hour lunch. I work 9-5 our 8-4 and eat at my desk when i can. But i do have mandatory overtime which sometimes makes it 7am-9pm. Fun times

Exactly. Cable had contracts for X months, and everything was packaged so you couldn’t just get one channel you liked.
Now streaming is splitting off into a bunch of services. That’s not great but on the other hand I’m not on a contract. I can stop and start whenever i want. I spend anywhere from $12-25 a month. All i ever wanted was for cable services to be unbundled. If I’m wanting to be subscribed to every service all of the time then yeah that’s going to get expensive. But if i just want to watch 1-2 shows at a time then I’m still much better off streaming than i would’ve been with cable 10+ years ago.

I had a falling out with a friend but apparently he had listed me as a reference. Now if we were on good terms i mightve lied for him, but he had terrible work ethic and i watched him get fired from one job to the next on repeat for years. So when they asked if i would consider him a good worker i told them frankly i thought he was a terrible worker and how he had been terminated from half a dozen jobs in the 2-3 years i had known him.
I have no idea why i was listed as a reference and i especially don’t know why he wouldn’t tell me he was using me as a reference. But yeah he for sure didn’t get that job.
