I usually use Gore-Tex as my outer most layer.
Inside I’ll use Merino wool and a cotton mid layer
- Comment on How many Nintendo Switches do I need for a family of gamers? 1 week ago:
You can put multiple accounts on the same device. My wife and I share one switch.
We used to have one per person, but I don’t play as much and we hardly play at the same time so I sold my other switch.
Physical games are sharable but it also means you can only play one device per cartridge at one time. So with games with only 1 save slot, you should get more physical cartridges.
Digital games are locked to the account that bought it. Anyone can play it, but if it has one save slot, then that will be the biggest issue.

Just increase the density of neutrons by 0.1%.
The universe will probably cease to exist.
- Comment on why does every single flashlight have multiple settings that you have to scroll through? 5 weeks ago:
I have a two button flashlight. One button to change settings and one to turn on and off. It has memory so it uses the last setting used that’s not strobe or the highest setting

- Comment on [Tom Warren] The PS5 Pro still hasn’t sold out in the US or UK. Looks like the $700 price point will mean this console will be readily available this holiday 1 month ago:
Every year? The only person I know within my immediate vicinity has phones ranging from 2019 2022.
Also something you use probably 3-5 hours a day vs something you might use only a few hours a week isn’t immediately comparable.
A modern day necessity vs a relatively niche item.

I visited Faroe. Absolutely love the place. Everyone is so kind and nice. The landscape is otherworldly. I would absolutely go back and visit again.

No shit. I’ll need to look into this. Thanks for learning me up.

Optional how so? It’s a rotating key. Unless you have all of those keys to export into your computer, then you’ll be stuck with the current synced key.
- Comment on Why do cameras call it "Macro Lens" if it zooms in and is used to capture tiny objects? Shouldn't it be "Micro Lens"? 6 months ago:
I suppose tilt shift lenses can achieve that.

Actually for cropped sensors it’ll still be 1:1 but “cropped”
You can get more magnification if you use extension tubes or specialized lenses.

Two train of thoughts. Making something 1:1 ratio is a true “macro” lens for photography. Because you’re increasing the size of the object to match the size of the sensor.
Then you got microscopes which makes things much larger than life.
For which manufactures call it what? Probably all marketing, but this makes the most sense in my life for justification.

- Comment on Why do some websites have a "Continue Reading" button? 10 months ago:
Because many are served by a 3rd party CDN that’s more robust than the original article.
Also might be part of the coding.
