Ahistorical nonsense. They don’t believe in a nobility by birth, but they absolutely believe that some people “are just better than others” and who should rule. Historically Hamas has been the amateurs and Hezbollah the pros. Hezbollah has actual victories against the IDF. Hamas’ military success last October was completely unprecedented. Its generally believed that Hezbollah trained Hamas into the fighting force it is now. And since Iran trained Hezbollah you get people claiming Hamas is an Iranian puppet.

Hezbollah was using commercial grade pagers because they’re a militia. The purpose of pagers are to contact them when their off duty. Many of these pagers blew up in homes, grocery stores, and other public places. Many civilians were killed and most people injured were bystanders.

He hasn’t been sentenced yet and won’t be for months. Its possible that he won’t be sentenced untilafter the election. He’s also been indicted for paying the porn star, Stormy Daniels, hush money.
So, out-of-context, its just another rich dude doing money crime in the US. Its not like he’s been convicted of being a russian asset or doibg war crimes. Convention is to give him a slap on the wrist. But external political pressures and him being a unique dumbass to the judge will probably result in a tougher sentencing. But I doubt there will be any prison time, even white collar.
Also you cans still run for president from prison. Eugene V. Debs ran as the Socialist Party candidate while jailed for sedition during WWI.
