But you have to agree that a pizza shouldn’t be sitting out for 50 minutes before it leaves the store.
In an ideal world sure, but we live in the real world with real world limitations…
I too, would love to live in an ideal world where ideals override simple facts.
But that isn’t the real world, and frankly, will likely never be true.
So get over yourself and get used to existence, you abominable dirt-head.
- Comment on "30 minutes or it's free" back then was wild 3 months ago:
No, they don’t. It was done away with for many important reasons, including but not limited to:
-people intentionally giving the wrong address so that it takes over 30min, costing everyone from the driver to management both time and money
-drivers speeding to meet their time quota, and causing wrecks at increased rates
-driver shortages, amplifying the last point
I worked for dominos as recently as last year. The number of people that still try to scam you over the 30min/free rule is asinine, and at least twice a week I had to explain to would-be customers that 30min/free hasn’t existed in at least 30yr for a lot of really good reasons. I’ve even had customers ask if they could tip “extra” to get it sooner. Unless you’re tipping enough that everyone involved (cook, dispatch, driver) gets as much as the order’s base cost (multiplying order price by 4 at minimum), we’re never going to do that.

So why is it represented as 99.999… Instead of just 100? It’s because you’re forgetting the fact that fractions and decimals are infinite depending on the magnification. 99.9999… literally goes on forever. That means that no matter how close it gets to 100, it will never be equivalent to 100.
It’s like how you can know infinitely nothing and still think you know everything. 👀🫠
- Comment on Mythbusters 4 months ago:
It only signifies that the post-decimal nines are repeating infinitely. It still doesn’t make 99.99999…=100 unless you intentionally round the value for some nondescript reason, and even then, rounding off isn’t changing the value, only the perceived value for mathematical simplicity, not objective accuracy.
- Comment on Mythbusters 4 months ago:
Only if you’re rounding. 99.9 is still 1/10 of a digit separated from 100, but it’s not equal to 100 for good reason.

Per Google, and doing the math, a gallon of cheese is 8 pounds (roughly 4kg). So that’s 160lbs in a year.
Holy shit that’s a fucking lot of cheese. Someone stop this madman.

To add to your statement: a few years ago, Henry Cavill went to Times Square in NYC wearing a shirt with the Superman S, and just hung out around signs for Man of Steel, and pretty much nobody recognized him (or if they did, they didn’t let it be known).
- Comment on Steam, Epic and GMG are canceling Ghost of Tsushima PC pre-orders in non-PSN countries 5 months ago:
I’m wondering the same thing, even though I’m certain the answer is “political or cultural authoritarianism.” If a product sold challenges a demographic in power, even if it’s minimal, that demographic will outlaw it immediately.
Example: article I saw yesterday about how Vietnamese gov told Steam to stop selling in their country because “the overwhelming library of games overshadows local devs” or something to that effect. The real reason is likely because of games that portray Vietnam in a bad light. From everything I’ve heard of the government there, the country is run by mobsters or similar.

Eggman is his actual name though. When it was brought to America it was localized as ‘Robotnik’ without the creators consent.
As far as the creator/developers are concerned, Robotnik is the ‘stupid moniker,’ as you put it.

- Comment on Which Mortal Kombat games across the years should I start with? 7 months ago:
To give two sides of answers to your question: I played the early MK games on the Sega Genesis, and I would say start where you want.
As others have said, the new canon for the series starts with the 2011 game. But honestly, the 2011 game is very similar to the OG games. If you only played the OG, then the new games will only be a better version of what you played up until that point.
If you only played the new ones, it gives prominent backstory to various characters, and the gameplay is almost identical. It’s a great starting point for newcomers.
Biggest difference is that the new games try to make everything one seamless story, the idea being comic book multiverse things, where in one universe, Ryu isn’t the God of Lightning, but a simple student at the temple. Stuff like that.
TL;DR: There’s no bad place to start in the Mortal Kombat games.

I think for fitting the syllable count, “we didn’t scratch the CD,” fits better. I know being a disc doesn’t make it a CD, but nobody cared at the time anyway lol

I dunno I feel like I’m handling it exactly as a rational person would; confused but otherwise unphased. If you live in today’s times and let random bullshit get the better of you, you probably deserve it.
Ironically you seem to be getting more of a rise out of the fact that it doesn’t rile my jimmies than anything I feel towards this irrational expression of random nothingness. /shrug

I mean yeah, but only as much as every other part of society that irritates me. Why can’t we all just be more normal/decent? What drives the human psyche to do these things? Was humanity a mistake? Will I ever stop over analyzing things? Will they tastefully wrap up Dragon Ball Super without Toriyama, or will it be milked like a dead horse for the money? Why IS anything?

Thank you. Yesterday was my first experience with their spammer(s), like 10 of the exact same post: an offbrand Simpsons character looking like they were tied in bondage and twerking, along with 2 paragraphs of text that walked a middle road between political and sexually deviant.
I mean it hardly bothered me, just reported and moved on with my life, but seriously, don’t people have better things to do with their time?

Lol I saw the drama thread about this like 20 minutes before finding this thread on my feed. The mod(s) doing this are really shooting themselves in the everything here. Soon the userbase here will hit critical low and there’ll be no opinions that are contrary to the mighty overlords opinions.
They’ll finally have a place with only their thoughts and judgements. Nobody talking back or saying what they think, just agreeing with the oppressors. Just them and the bots they made to parrot and agree with them.
I guess I’ll just wait patiently for my 30 day ban for saying anything though.
