Yes de cecco, molisana, garofalo or voiello are quite available everywhere in Italy, its still factory made but with more care and with bronze cut
If you want to go on expensive stuff you need to look into “monograno”, basically means “single grain” a 1kg pack could go up for 6-10 €
Worth it? For everyday use only if you make it an hobby, otherwise a normal bronze cut is enough.
I would still eat barilla, but only if its the only alternative to not having pasta
In france they eat a lot of “panzani” which I believe its still Italian, but quite shit in quality, very unexpensive

But no, usually pasta is pressed into shapes and then cut at the end
While being pressed against the bronze thing it gets rough on the edges and in the inside

Never tried it
- Comment on Its all about bonding 4 days ago:
Yeah, big pot and salt are mandatory.
- Comment on Its all about bonding 4 days ago:
I believe they have 1kg options

Bronze cutting is slower (so less efficient) but being slower make the pasta more “rough” and not smooth. This makes sauce stick more to it

Italian here. Barilla is considered the bare minimum. Its not a high quality pasta, although they have a bronze cut kind which I never tried.
- Comment on Its all about bonding 5 days ago:
Use a decent quality pasta, stir once. No oil needed.

Same sex marriage is legal in the EU isnt true.
Basically nothing is “in the EU” There are some general laws that each country applies on their own (often treating them as suggestions and get fined if they dont respect them)
- Comment on what unbiased media sources do you use? 1 year ago:
My brain. I read everything, sometimes I also go on r/Republican if the news are particularly biased to the left, I often leave more stupid than before but it’s a good test.
Always challenge what you are reading, add your research if the matter is important to you, use different websites, search engines and even AI.
More perspective is better than “always 1 news site”
I’ve seen many good online newspaper fall into oblivion and new good one to born.

I’n Italy we use barcode scanners during the shopping and you scan everything. After that you only pay.
Super useful as well because you can price check all the groceries while you pick them up and scan
- Comment on Ok boomer 1 year ago:
With self checkout I can literally get in and out the grocery store in like 10-30 minutes where 98% of the time is me choosing products instead of waiting 5-15 minutes in the cashier lane waiting for old people to put their shit on the rolling thing

But that’s what we did with “Gomorra” the TV series!! But it was people from the Camorra not the Mafia
- Comment on Mafia: The Old Country will offer voice acting in Sicilian 1 year ago:
Its a dialect. But i assure you if a Sardinian, a Pugliese, a Siciliano and a Valdostano all speaks their dialect only, there won’t be any communication going
- Comment on What is the secret to making LED light bulbs last as long as the package says? 1 year ago:
Important: never buy IKEA bulbs (lamps and all the aesthetic part OK, but not the light bulb itself)
I had dozens of those dying one by one in my apartment, I always substituted them with Philips bulbs and they never had issues
