- Comment on JetBlue makes you watch an ad to connect to wifi 4 months ago:
I flew Delta last year and got their free WiFi when I signed up for an account with them. Think it was for a loyalty program for every flight I flew with them and one of the perks was free WiFi.
I used it for streaming from my Plex server at home and watched 1984 and some other movies on my phone on the flight and don’t remember encountering any buffering or other issues the whole time. Was pleasantly surprised and grateful for that so I didn’t have to use their movie selection.
Though I do have to say they had a pretty good free selection to choose from. I remember even TV shows which I thought was weird like The Sopranos was on there. I just preferred choosing from my own library and continuing where I left off on my server.
- Comment on Applied for a job and was asked to do a live interview. But all I get is this. 4 months ago:
This is pretty typical for my area. They usually give you 3 or more time slots to choose from.
But I’ve never seen one where it had nothing available.

The city of Gotham has been shown to be very corrupt, so higher taxes may not exactly fix the issue. This was seen very heavily in the police department before and even during Gordon becoming police commissioner. This is why Gordon and a lot of the civilians embrace the Batman figure because he’s not corrupt.
- Comment on What would cause a person to speak in different accents randomly? 5 months ago:
Somewhat. We do work with people with Arabic accents which could explain that. But no one with a Caribbean accent and only one person I’m aware of who just started working with us with a French accent. But that’s an interesting theory.
- Comment on What would cause a person to speak in different accents randomly? 5 months ago:
She did wish some of our team members a happy Ramadan once I can remember. Not exactly confirmation as not just Muslims can wish someone that, but possible.
That’s an interesting theory and seems to line up with some other things I do know of her based on her location somewhat near the Caribbean. This is a possible theory with what little I know about her background.
- Comment on What would cause a person to speak in different accents randomly? 5 months ago:
Thank you for saying that. I agree.
I do have my limits that I was and am aware of that would make me want to pursue reporting her if it got that far. I felt uncomfortable and uneasy and still do a bit to this day, but don’t feel it warrants any official reports at this time. Thankfully we don’t interact in person which helps with a lot of that.
- Comment on What would cause a person to speak in different accents randomly? 5 months ago:
I have encountered that before. I remember a kid I went to school with, his family had come from the UK and he had a noticeable accent when speaking to his parents and sister but his accent changed whenever he spoke to us yanks.
That made sense to me and easily understood why he sounded that way depending on who he spoke to.
This coworker…it’s the same group of people each day she speaks to us and none of us have anything but the standard American accent.
- Comment on What would cause a person to speak in different accents randomly? 5 months ago:
Understood, thanks for the correction. I didn’t mean it in that way but I can see how that’s how it comes off and I’ll be more sensitive in the future.
- Comment on What would cause a person to speak in different accents randomly? 5 months ago:
Yeah that’s how I feel about it. Despite the nasty way she responded to me personally, I just try to imagine she may be in pain and leave it alone. Thankfully she did back off eventually.
I didn’t push back on her, but I had apologized for my mistake and she took the opportunity to reply with more unpleasant messages to each apology that I just decided to not say anything else which led to her stopping.

- Comment on Nintendo increases Switch Online service with three distinctive GBA games 5 months ago:
Instead of providing actual features the competitors have had for ages like the ability to talk using the console while playing a game, they add old ass games as a “bonus” since they make it impossible to play these any other way.
Typical Nintendo not even doing the bare minimum.

3D like the Fallout 3 we got as a FPS-like game or 3D like still top down but could rotate the camera, sort of like The Sims or something else entirely?

I imagine they’d have some customers who would flip over that even that it’s the same size portion they wanted to order.
“You ordered the small, but we don’t have small containers.”
“Yeah but it’s not full!!”

It was mainly around Ubisoft’s The Crew as the latest conversation. This was about a month ago.
Ubisoft took the game offline and also removed from customers’ digital libraries with a message suggesting they try the newer installments in the series instead of the game they paid for.

Click (2006). Though I still disagree about skipping through work. I’d love to have a remote to speed through the day for work. Saying that even as someone who dated two women from work and realize I could potentially meet my soulmate at work.
But everywhere else, I understand the message. Take time to enjoy each moment, even the dull ones. I tear up at the last scenes with his dad played by Henry Wrinkler as I remember my dad and the times I was frustrated with him and the situation he was in near his end and how I too said things I regret even if I did apologize and he did forgive me…

Just to play devil’s advocate here.

Same here. I tell people that it’s my reminder of my mortality and how fragile life actually is. Treat each day as your last and live as if you won’t be here tomorrow, because it is promised to no one.
- Comment on Who is subscribing to Game Pass, PS Plus and Nintendo Switch Online, and why? 6 months ago:
I had GamePass for a few years and just canceled last month. I barely used it anymore except for Minecraft and Halo Infinite and don’t play those anymore. I might even own Minecraft and have forgotten.
But then I signed back up for Nintendo Online because my girlfriend and her son just got Switches and we play Animal Crossing together. But it’s not as much as GamePass so not that big of a deal.
But I’m sick of subscriptions for shit I don’t even use. Everything nowadays has to be a subscription for no reason. Nintendo doesn’t even provide anything of valuable for theirs since I can’t even talk over it. I’m just paying for what used to be free on their past consoles.
- Comment on Recommendations for a battery tester? I'm open to other devices that aren't limited to testing batteries 6 months ago:
If you’re doing the typical household batteries like AA/AAA, then you can get a pretty cheap kind like this one Amazon link for this specific one a.co/d/hrW6U45
I got one off Temu for less than a $1 and I use it all the time. Its only power source, as far as I can tell, is the battery, itself to move the needle. So if it doesn’t show a result, then it is a dead battery.
- Comment on What happens to my domain, website and email when I die? 6 months ago:
Speaking from experience, once you stop paying, they become available for purchase.
I let mine lapse and some Chinese gambling site picked it up for their own business. I always wondered why Chinese sites were coming to my site when I owned it lol.
If it’s a more obscure name, it’s likely it’ll just be one of those sites that advertises that it’s available until someone buys it.
- Comment on Microsoft to release next 'Call of Duty' game on subscription service, source says 7 months ago:
They’re kind of working on one device that is basically smaller than an Apple TV and will connect to your TV and is thought to be strictly for streaming games and nothing more. Essentially would be this since you have no storage or resources for locally stored game playing.
This small device was seen on a shelf in a live stream a few years ago and there were some other rumors surrounding it.

For anyone wondering, there are tools out there that will help you debloat Windows 10 and 11 and remove things like these obnoxious ads in the Start Menu. I did this last year on Windows 11 and even after countless updates, the debloating has remained. The tool I used also had an option to permanently “pause” Windows Updates too.
It’s terrible what Microsoft has done to the OS, overall, but for those of us who have to use it (and have control over the computer), we have this as an option to make the experience a little better, at least.
I can’t remember the exact tool I used but I highly recommend it for anyone dealing with this.
