In my experience smoking vastly increases your tolerance for edibles. If you only eat edibles then you need much less to be effective.

For people who dont smoke, 5-10mg of edibles is still a really bad time. I’m constantly having to remind my smoker friends of this when they’re advising first timers.

Youre presupposing that were losing something by cleaning up the environment. As if we cant invest in a cleaner environment the same way we spent money of the other things that made the pollution. Its absolutely possible to have all these things.
The point is that we are ALREADY paying more for living in a polluted world than a clean one. Pollution causes so many widespread health problems that we’d make that money back on healthcare costs alone.
Thats what makes this environment discussion so nonsensical. We dont even have to address climate change to get a return on our investment in cleaning up the world.

I had a professor who spent many years in the thick of battle in the Vietnam war. He said this was one of the hardest things to deal with mentally. One person would survive after getting shot all over and the next person would get the smallest bit of shrapnel in the wrong spot and “just turn off.”

It’s one of the most egalitarian things. Dressing down is inclusive of people who can’t dress up. And as far as society goes, the world was very well dressed through the period it couldn’t stop declaring war on itself.

Was out for a week for work. Got back to my front door and got attacked by a nest that had been made while I was out. I relished nuking them.
I’ve been stung by wasps dozens of times. Never been stung by a bee. I say hello to bumble bees. Wasps get none such niceties from me. Except for tarantula hawks. Those guys are way too fucking big not to remove my hat when in presence.

The vast majority of what we do is just trying to get the body to a spot where it can manage the issue itself because we don’t have the means to do it ourselves.
Personalized medicine is the frontier that everyone has been trying to break into since the race to decode the human genome. What a lot of people don’t realize is that for every drug that goes to market there are thousands of promising candidates that are shelved due to a small population of adverse effects.
Now imagine what we can do if we can screen for those effects. Overnight the market would be flooded with powerful, effective medications with much fewer side effects. And that’s just medical drugs.

What he was doing in and of itself wasn’t bad, but it was ignoring the shrinking enthusiasm of the democratic base and the growing of the maga rhetoric. It reinforces the pendulum effect of letting the right wing swing back instead of giving the left a whole new momentum.

I used to be completely sober all the way through my 30s. I tried things later and they really helped me see life from different angles. I didn’t try shrooms until I felt I was ready. They are easily one of the best things that ever happened to me. I would not suggest trying them unless you feel comfortable, are in a very familiar environment, and you have a trustworthy, caring friend to keep you company.
