Yeah, yeast doubling rate is around 90 mins in optimal conditions, I would assume the rest of the microbes in your gut would have a very similar rate and they would be well adapted to those conditions.

There are carrier based services that do fuck all for spam calls, what you really need to get rid of them is Google Assistant call screening. Yes, Google is a giant evil corporation with anti-competitive monopolies and “AI” that will lead to the eventual destruction of the Internet we know and love, but their call screener is top notch. It answers the call and the spammers have to talk to a robot to get through to you. That’s cut down my spam call volume dramatically. And if it flags someone accidentally they just say who they are and I can decide to answer.

You need to talk to someone about your risk tolerance. Clearly you’re not willing to accept short term losses and you’re going to be prone to panic selling and holding cash when you could be buying dips. Your risk tolerance does not match your portfolio.

I imagine there are very few truly unique experiences in this life and that someone has likely been through exactly what you’re going through in a different time and place.

Incredibly, they actually drew their cartoons based on observations in nature. The duck season/rabbit season bit commonly seen in the Bugs and Daffy cartoons, while exaggerated was based on true events.

EMTALA is likely the law you’re referring to which says if a patient shows up on a hospital campus with a medical emergency, staff must stabilize that patient before discharging unless the patient refuses medical care and goes AMA.

I feel like a lot of these posts are people just “poking the bear” and others end up taking them seriously. I understood this concept fairly early because of my family’s heavy use of sarcasm and seeing Calvin’s dad (of Calvin and Hobbes) explain things. Sometimes your best bet is to just not give the lesson and leave it alone so it doesn’t get unnecessary attention.

Shit, 45 hours a week would be amazing, my now former employer wanted me working 5 12hour shifts and pay me so little I needed a weekend job on top of that.

But if it doesn’t display in the page and I have to go to a secondary site, it makes it cumbersome enough that I look for that experience elsewhere, like Bluesky.

It’s not bad, it doesn’t have the massive amount of people to keep niche communities going, but for big broad general topics it’s fairly solid. It could use some video and GIF support, but maybe it’s just my instance that doesn’t support it.
