That’s actually pretty awesome. Bluetooth speakers are getting to the point where new features aren’t really being released, so features like this actually helps a brand stand apart.

Amazing. We’ve made it back to boomboxes.

    Where do the cassettes go?

Wow, innovative technology! What will they think of next?

(I joke because it’s absurd that we DON’T have replaceable batteries in things like that, but I have to admit, I absolutely love my JBL Extreme 3. I got it when I was stuck in the hospital for a month and couldn’t use headphones because of my condition. The sound quality is excellent for a BT speaker and I still use it nearly daily at home since it just sounds really good and it works well. Hopefully the electronics are smart enough to not kill the battery while it’s plugged in because I haven’t used it from batteries in months and it doesn’t have a REPLACEABLE BATTERY!)

Cool beans. Now let’s see that super proprietary connector on the battery before I pass judgement. Still don’t trust these companies

    Awesome first step.

Now if only the EU (because the US would never) would add some regulations for battery for factor standards as well as regulations on requiring battery swapping of electronics.

I’m tired of tearing down my devices every 1-3 years to replace a simple battery pack to extend the life of a device that should last 10+ years.
