I’m Canadian. Can confirm we are pissed off. I was in the convoy on Tuesday. They are trying to call us terrorists and the minority. That is not true.

  But can you actually collapse Trudeau's government? Its no good if you all just go home and they just carry on with their programme, and then start the witchhunt of truckers. How will the truckers deal with the inevitable response from police and military even?
  
  Trudeau is probably hoping for some weapons incident to point to to justify a violent response. It seems to me that the protest needs more legs to it... Port workers, power station workers, to escalate the collapse. I guess roadbreaking and such is upping the ante a lot.
  
  I just wonder where this all goes? Can they hold out until Summer? Will they not need to? I reckon the interest rate hikes by end of March are going to be a watershed, maybe a month or two is long enough. Canada has a huge risky private debt-to-GDP ratio,.

    We have plans upon plans. This convoy didn’t start overnight. This has been behind the scenes for two years now. We have military, police, the borders are being blocked and now the waterways are going to be blocked. We will hold the line until mandates are lifted. Trudeau is a tyrant.

At the beginning, we didn't know anything about this virus. We didn't have a vaccine or even a treatment. Videos out of China showed healthy looking young men dying abruptly while walking down the street. Most of the world hunkered down in bunkers, stopped working, started taking paycheques from the government or just "worked from home" -- AKA got paid to faff about.

A small few essential workers never stopped. We showed up for work every day, and we had much more responsibilities with much fewer people. Some got a small bonus for the risk and the work, but nowhere near proportional to the load being placed on our shoulders. Despite that, food kept on being grown and processed and turned into goods the current generation can microwave and all that continued showing up on store shelves, electricity kept on being delivered to homes, Internet kept on running despite a new massive load on it, critical medicine continued including babies being delivered and emergency services. About a year ago, an experimental vaccine was rushed out by the deregulation of Donald Trump, it bypassed most of the safety and effectiveness tests that any other vaccine would be subjected to. Most of us got the vaccine because it was the right thing to do, understanding the risks of a rushed drug. Some didn't, worrying about the long-term consequences.

Now, the pandemic is effectively almost over, some jurisdictions are opening back up, and now the cowards who hid in their bunkers for 2 years come out and start mandating that those people who kept you comfortable and fed the whole time shall take the needles and present their papers or lose everything.

And the people who lived through all that and are pissed off at being bullied by the most powerful politicians on earth funded and backed by global megacorps are being treated like the bad guys.

You have to admit it's pretty funny, labor is organizing to oppose big Pharma and the left is losing their shit in opposition to it. So much for all of this "labor should organize!" Stuff, apparently labor should only organize in the ways that are acceptable to the establishment.

  You have to understand the frustration. They are treated like complete criminals, and even the courts have sided with the govt. They can't travel freely within the country, can't keep jobs and aren't allowed to leave the country. Family courts will not allow visitation to unvaxed. They are about to get taxed on top of all this. Also, their guns have been mostly taken away, unlike US.
  
  That said, the White pill is that they need to bring max 3.5% of the country to the streets to get change. For Canada's 38 Mil, then need turnout of 1.3 million protesters countrywide:

  Here in Czech Republic, the threshold is 350,000. But we've already seen a tidal wave of change with around 20k protesters countrywide.

  We aren’t anti vaccine. We are anti mandate! We need to move on with life and not let them dictate our every move. They’ve been spying on 33 million cell phones during the pandemic. That basically every single cell phone in Canada. Fuckin crooked and they all need to be kicked out and we need to start fresh.

    I took the vaccine as soon as it became available. I felt that it was important because my workplace keeps shutting down every time there's a covid case, and if I didn't do my part to try to keep the place running they'd eventually just close the doors.
    
    I'm now affected by a mandate, and frankly it feels like a betrayal. I decided of my own free will to take the risk of taking an untested experimental vaccine and now I'm being told it didn't matter because now I should have taken it OR ELSE?
