Comment on Canadian convoys for freedom mega-thread
goldenballs@wolfballs.com 2 years agoI thought there were 1.4 million protestors? Isn't this a kind of coastal-inland divide like in America? Are Quebeckers really loving their leader?!

In Canada ? That sounds really high. I believe in Germany they hit the 1M mark when they were debating mandatory vax.
Not sure about Canada.

More than a million protesting. More like half the country is protesting and if they aren’t they still support what’s going on. You have to remember it’s cold and old people and young people don’t travel in winter. Just wait till she warms up.

As much as I love the truckers, I am seeing a lot of conflicting numbers, especially the streamers with drones who are at the scene.
Some say 50k trucks, some say 1k.......
To be honest, at this point it won't matter. 1k trucks are already going to take months to move even by the army. They already got huge media exposure and are pressuring politicians bigly.
Regardless of the actual number, they've stirred up a hornet's nest and things are about to change. Yay !

So far there is 3,000 semi trucks and hundreds of tractors and thousands of 4x4’s. They can’t move us. We hold the power and they know it. They are scared right now and only conservatives are actually trying to help us out.

It was a smart way of protesting... None of the rabid violence of BLM needed, just hit the arteries of the economy by clogging them up, and symbolically demonstrating the importance of logistics and the impracticality of the mandates, never mind the extremism of them. Truckers can easily say they are not blocking the road, they are waiting for the road to clear - a kind of "I'm not Spartacus" moment, that makes any police or military action look extremist. Trudeau was then exposed as an extremist, and it's hard to see how he can continue in politics at all, or even in Canada at all. If that blonde MP becomes the new leader of the Canuck Tories, then maybe there's a replacement government ready and waiting?
