I’ve said this thousands of times, and I still believe it fully. Assisted suicide should 100% be legal. You can put a dog out of it’s misery but mom has to die slowly and painfully from the incurable cancer eating their brain.
What an excellent take! This guy understands.
As someone who has been close to the edge a few times whilst depressed, this made me feel so much better about it.
But then you came and it made you feel better, right?
Sont know who downvoted you. I think that’s pretty funny.
Depression isn’t funny, but jokes are.

Sure thing. Here you go
On the language of “losing/winning” a “battle” with cancer:
It’s worth mentioning that Norm MacDonald died from leukemia in 2021 and the joke was probably written sometime early into his diagnosis or pre-diagnosis. If I were reading into it like an English teacher, I’d say that this is an example of a man candidly coming to terms with his own mortality, vocalizing it in the only way he know n how: third-person comedy. It’s just all-in-all a pretty saddening thing to look back on. Almost reminds me of that tragedy.
