    People with a lot of money tend to listen to other people who have a lot of money. At least more than us peons.

    If gates wanted to, he could lobby bribe the government to create a regulatory body for AI.

  And I find the comparison to having an FDA makes the point really salient as well. It’s one of those few times where I think this is something that can sway the laypeople’s opinions to realize how terrible the AI boom is.

  The way this is clipped made it difficult to parse. Or I’m just stupid and jumped the gun when a pedo opens his mouth. It’s surprising that he’d be against it, given his social circle and his investments.
