No, a 3rd party app called Chiaki4Deck is adding a new renderer that will enable HDR support on the new Deck’s OLED screen.

Use Firefox and Ublock Origin, friend. There are specific “annoyances” filters in Ublock Origin that take care of most (but not all) cookie banners.

Can confirm that it does not work and trying to click on the cookie settings freezes the thing halfway through. lol

I used Chiaki to play Yakuza 0 on my PS4 the first few months I had my Deck. Worked really well!

I had my first Chiaki4deck streaming session from my OLED and was blown away by how unnoticeable the latency and clear the image was. It literally felt like I was playing the game native to steam deck. Getting HDR support as well is going to be a real treat.

@Fubarberry Can I also use my deck as a PS5 controller and, like, play with a friend?Fubarberry@sopuli.xyz 2 years ago
Sorry, I have no idea.

The OLED one is.

Just because you can’t display HDR doesn’t mean you can’t take advantage of its mapping.

As someone with the OG steam deck, and an HDR TV that my main PC and PS5 are hooked up to, I have issues all the time when streaming HDR content to the non HDR display on the steam deck. It tries to convert the image to standard dynamic range, but just blows out the whites and crushes the blacks. I always gotta remember to turn HDR off on my PC before streaming, but it would be really nice not to have to do that.

Try Sunshine + Moonlight and this script:
