They’re Smearing Zack Polanski. Here’s Why

  We all knew that this was coming, that the British press would absolutely smear a party leader as antisemitic if he dared defend Palestinians. I’m not surprised, but I am frustrated. We need a better strategy to reach the public because the media is clearly acting as gatekeepers and has its own agenda.

  The typical answer to this is lately been: “Just leverage social media! It worked for Trump!” but this ignores the fact that legacy media has played a critical role there, amplifying his message and creating stories from that manchild’s tweets. The Greens are never going to get that level of special treatment unless it’s to destroy us.

    It also ignores the fact that social media is now legacy media. It’s embedded, institutionalised, owned by disconnected elites, and actively manipulated by aspiring oligarchs.
