Even if true … I’d say it’s okay to have fewer jobs if those remaining jobs are better jobs where you, for example, get paid sick leave.
What use is it to have more jobs if those jobs are terrible, exploitative jobs?

This is what the legislature does here. We vote for Medicaid, they strip it. We vote against anti-union legislation, they put it back on the ballot. We voted to keep the current state constitutional right to democratically amend the state constitution when they want to have full control over that apparatus and they want to ballot it again. We voted to protect abortion rights in the state last year. They are making us vote on it again this year. They patronisingly continue to tell us that we don’t know what we are voting for.
This is a gerrymandered autocracy.
