Say your kids grandparents love half way across the world. And you only get to see them once a year at best. What do schools say about that?
Fuck you be richer. Visit during half term?

No they say "You’re choice to move away from your family or their choice to move away from you shouldn’t adversely affect all of the other children in your child’s class because the teacher has limited time and is now spending it catching up your child who missed foundational concepts for the stuff that is being taught when they get back.
You are not entitled to cheap travel. I never got to travel all over the world as a child because, spoiler, we couldn’t afford it, but people also didn’t feel so entitled to cheap travel that they were taking their kids out of school for cheaper flights. You just didn’t fly.
When I was at school if you were in say year 7/8/9 with no exams the last few weeks of the school year were almost worthless. Just watching random movies etc. I think school should take that into account much more
Yeah I was always a bit miffed as a pupil I couldn’t just start summer early after end of year exams, those few weeks were always a waste of everyone’s time.

75% attendance isn’t happening from a week off for a holiday during term time. That is a week off every month

Indeed. But apparently 10 days gets one there, TFA doesn’t really explain itself.
