Thanks to @scrubbles@poptalk.scrubbles.tech’s digressive agenda, I am making this intersecting 🧵.

I am finding that many many gamers do not comprehend their policies, or why they believe the beliefs they believe. !skg@lemmy.dbzer0.com really opened my eyes at how political illiterate gamer can be, and what we can do to keep savings games.

As a black anarchist myself, I worry that gamers are extremely misinformed how gaming has been anti authoritarian since we bonded with strangers over games. I concerns be greatly we are repeating history, because illiteracy is championed.

What are your thoughts LW?

I think games are one of the best mediums yo question and test your beliefs in.

For example, it’s easy to win at tropico if you just pay people a living wage and make housing cheap.

  I believe the same. Simulations, theory testing, even self exploration are great ways games have provided to us the means to discover our political nature, and how we can achieve means.

i started to take one test and a lot if it is over simplified or just mem. but there are two specific things i wpuld like to point out.

the statement about pornography is over simplified. it was worded in such a way that a crack down on porn is good, agree or not. it over simplified because there are a group of prople eho see it as immorsl and a crack down means stopping it for immoral reasons, however it needs intervention. there is nothing erong with fully consenting adilts doing porn but there is a lot if predatory snd exploitative things happening to make money in that industry. its not a simple topic. i have no issie with it in concept but the industry has a lot of problems and needs rehilation.

there seems to be a misunderstanding of social contract. social vontract is where i sau “i give up my right to kill people so i live in a society where i am safer”

side note, this statement doesnt make complete sense: “Insurance should be used voluntarily by individuals rather than welfare.”

i can see welfare being compared with guaranteed minimum income but not insurance.
