Crows are cool. I’d welcome my new friend and give him food and shiny things

Don’t ever fuck with a crow.
Leave it be.
My knee jerk reaction is to feed it. But I learned long ago that the US Forestry Service has a saying, a Fed Bear is a Dead Bear.
What happens is some good natured visitor/camper in the park feeds a bear, so the bear learns there is a food source there. The good natured camper leaves the park and a new camper shows up and the bear comes around for its daily feeding and there is no food. So the bear does what bears do and finds food. So it eats the family pet, or raids the cooler and all of a sudden the bear becomes a nuisance that has to be put down.
So the lesson here is, do wild life a favor and leave them alone. They will take care of themselves.

I cannot relate to this question at all.
I have a tiny bowl of seed in my porch that I move slightly closer to where I sit, so the chipmunks and squirrels will learn to trust me
I have a bowl of cat food on the porch, so any hungry wayward kitties can stop by for a snack.
My yard is full of pollinator flowers to attract bees and hummingbirds.
If a crow showed up, I’d be trying to befriend him before the end of the first day!

I would be so hype to have a crow friend.
