  This is obviously fucked up.

  But also, this sounds like a conservative misogynist incel’s validation wet dream. So I feel like it is important to point out that this is a single incident, no one has been convicted, we don’t have all the facts, and the biggest driving factors in this incident are broad social trends like poverty.

    You know, that's a good point. It is important to invalidate and downplay stories that people I disagree with might be likely to glom onto. I forget to do this far too often.
