Turning my partners desktop into a nas but need some kind of desktop environment replacement. Feel like this could be a good option

Needs an integrated battery and USB-C alt mode for display so you can use a keyboard + AR glasses and nothing else

So apparently the usb-C power input doesn’t work as a display out?

Yup, just like all the other Raspberry devices. Its really getting embarrassing at this point how outdated their hardware is.

honestly so don’t get them anymore. th fist ones were great for projects of people getting into pseudo-embedded stuff. they were cheap an use little energy.

but since the rpi4 and 5, the power to energy ratios is just not worth it.and when you add case, storage and power supply you are paying more than a second hand hp mini.

I really liked the Pi400. Used it as my main device for at least a year. If I had an extra monitor I’d consider getting this as it seems to deal with my gripes about the previous version.
