All I can say is you got to get some experience, doing anything. Hang in, do your damnedest, put that experience on your resume. Rinse and repeat.
For example; You could parley customer service experience into a tech support role, into a “higher” job, into more and more and more. Been there, done that. But you gotta start at the bottom, put in some time, quit and move on.
When we moved here 20-years ago, my buddy started at shitty oil change place, way below his skillset and managerial experience. Every year or so, he kept quitting and moving into better and better jobs. He finally landed at 6 figures running service for the biggest car sales chain. Good enough for him.
I laugh at young people’s view of capitalism and the workplace. They’re fucking you? LMAO, had an old supervisor that used to say, “Fuck me? Oh, no, no, no, fuck you.”
tl:dr; Take their pay and take your experience. They’re paying you to fuck them over. What’s not to get?!

The skill you learn in college is forgetting stuff.

It’s actually sitting in one place putting up with a bunch of bullshit for most of the day. That is an essential skill in the modern workplace.
