Co-op climbing game PEAK is a truly great time with friends

  I disagree with the other commenters. The game is a blast with friends and smooth in gameplay. The controls are easy and predictable, and everyone I’ve played with has picked it up very easily, even those who aren’t heavy gamers. If you are in a poison cloud its because you stepped on the brightly colored people poison plants.

    I hear a lot of people say ‘the controls are easy to learn’, and I have to wonder if the game is extra unstable on my system for some reason, of if its otherwise glitching out somehow.

    I am a heavy gamer, but something about the way the characters jerk about, snap to one spot or another, lunge randomly, all of which costs chunks of stamina, just feels so bad to me, and I struggle to predict when and why it happens.

  I found it to be incredibly janky, to an unfun degree. The climbing seems simple, but the way the characters shutter and lunge, how hard it is to tell of a slope is ‘ground’ or ‘wall’, and other control difficulties ended up making me uninstall.

    The hunger mechanic killed it for me. It’s a whacky co-op game; why include a system that punishes you for taking your time messing around with friends?

    The number of times I’m suddenly in a cloud of poison for literally no discernable reason… at least that stage is relatively early and done with
