I have never seen a company treat their customers like absolute shit but still get rivers of money from people for it. Nintendo does make good games, but god, they need to chill out with their IP protection bullshit.

But even their good games are the same games over and over…

There are lots of companies like that. EA, Nvidia, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Walmart, Amazon, HP.

      I could go on.

I’ve been a Nintendo fan since 1988. Their astounding arrogance and greed with the Switch 2 has turned me off completely to them. I’m going to take extra pleasure in playing Metroid Prime 4 on my hacked Switch 1. It’s probably the last new game from them I’ll be playing until a Switch 2 emulator comes out.

Today I was at a conference. This one talk was about how the guy had hacked IntelliJ Idea to work as a game engine. He was showcasing how he implemented well known games from different eras. From Pong up to Guitar Hero. At every step, when he asked the audience what could be the next game, someone would call “donkey kong” or “super mario” and he would say “I am not touching anything Nintendo, even with a 10 foot pole”. It was pretty funny.

Also, this IntelliJ plugging to blow up your code: plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/26424-code-exploder
