It’s wild how little MdC soap is needed for a lather. I thought I was pretty conservative with the chunk I broke into my bowl, and I still had enough lather for probably 6 passes.
The Absinthe scent is very pleasant, almost like spearmint and anise chewing gum. A great shave to start the day.

I’ve been talking about the Friodur family of razors on the Discord yesterday, and it inspired me to fetch the venerable Frio 14 for today’s Stankening. This stainless 14 is sublime. The calm conviction of the big 14 form factor, with the gentle “wiping whiskers off” feeling of the the thin hollow grind. Simply wonderful.

Super good lather. I like this scent. It’s funny reading the two sort of negative reviews on Maggard. I definitely get a leather hit up front, and as I work my way through the sample I’m sure my nose will pick up some other things.

That kills the SSL sample. I could probably get 3 uses per vial, but I’d rather use it than trying to stretch it far.
