    There’s like… only two sequels in theaters right now. Paddington 3 and Captain America 4. New IPs have sprouted up all the time with M3GAN, They Follow, (probably) Novocaine, Rebel Ridge.

    There’s too wide of an array of things out there to make such a blanket, dismissive statement.

      Last year I felt like the only films being released were sequels, spinoffs, or remakes. I've not checked this year so far because last year crushed my spirit on that front.

  I remember going to the Scala cinema in London in the 80s for a Troma all-nighter: Toxic Avenger 1 & 2 (and maybe 3), Troma’s War and Rabid Grannies!
