Yes it will be blocked since you’re using their email servers. The nice thing about a custom domain though is you could pick up and move to another provider that isn’t blocked and not have to update your email address.
If a country and email providers in that country block my email provider, but I use a custom domain, does that affect emails sent to/from @MyDomainName.com?

The mail server’s IP typically takes precedence over the registrar’s location.

Tuta has been blocked in Egypt since October 2019, and blocked in Russia since February 2020 for unknown reasons (although believed to be tied to actions against services operating outside of the country, especially those that involve encrypted communications).
Like I don’t have anyone in Russia or Egypt to talk to or anything like that so its not really that important, just curious. Would a Yandex Mail sent to my custom domain on tuta work? 🤔

Depends on the configuration, but most likely yes. The reason being that your custom domain will have a MX record which points to the blocked email provider.
