  Daryl Davis has done more to dismantle the KKK than all the antifa folks combined ever will, and he does it through empathy, reasonable conversation, and kindness.

  I’m as guilty as the next liberal of feeling so angry with Neo-Nazis that I have moments where I want them all instantly slain, but the world would be a much better place if we could all just remember that even people like that are human beings too and even if reaching out to them has a 0.01% of de-radicalizing them, attacking them always has a 0% chance.

  I think Daryl Davis is just a better person than most of us.

    Antifa’s objective isn’t to dismantle the KKK, it’s to fight fascists, so you’re very blatantly using fallacious reasoning and putting an irrelevant group of people on your sacrificial altar to make yourself feel better about something.

    Superman actually did more to stop the KKK than this clown and Superman is not even real. And Superman punches bad guys. So you fail again.

    It’s funny how I use this guy as an example of what’s actually effective rather than just making noise, and the usual response is a LOT of noise. I just ask them, how many people have you convinced to stop being racist and leave the KKK with your current “efforts”. Kindness is not weakness, it’s effective.

    Treating other humans as less-than will cause more problems than it solves. I’m no Daryl Davis, but I’ve changed the perspective of 3 racists in my lifetime, just by talking with them and proving that racist stereotypes are wrong through my actions.

    If I had treated these people with disgust and hostility, there would be 3 more racists in the world.

      This literally happened in 2019, the inquirer has an article about it and was documented by Pool and Rogan. Mr Davis was called a Nazi for planning to speak at a now canceled event that Pool was looking to have in NJ.

  One human being who understood things. We need more of that, and some day, some day, all the hate and violence will die. I actually think of him when someone comes to me violently, works so far, given they’re not too intoxicated to interact on general human level. On the other hand, doesn’t happen so often to me. Little data here.
