I dunno, I’m kinda of two minds. On one hand, it’s definitely good to know the breadth of the LGBT+ community, for further policy decisions and what have you - ALL info is good info.
On the other hand, what business does the government have knowing what I do in the privacy of my bedroom? Aside from the legal aspects of sexuality which I believe are fairly equal now (marriage laws, adoption laws etc), why do they wanna know who I’m blasting nuts into?

I’m confused. I thought the end result last week was that they would include the questions. But now they’re again saying it’s too hard?

I hadn’t realised this. It was reported everywhere just as the decision to cut questions having been reversed, not partially reversed.

@Zagorath@aussie.zone Albanese tried to weasel his way out of it by suggesting there will be one new question (relating to sexuality I think) and that existing census contained questions which could be updated.
