It was only removed to avoid paying royalties to the writers.

Just torrent it now. The writers aren’t getting shit no matter how you watch it. So don’t line Paramounts pockets.

No, buy the Blu-ray’s, that means they still have to acknowledge the money the show makes.

I do buy physical media when it’s available. Sadly more shows are skipping a disc release.

This is a great show, don’t sleep on it even though it’s aim at kids. It’s authentic trek, with great scifi concepts.

That it’s pulled from Paramount+ while the second season is in development is such nonsense. Like why, there’s no upside. Since you can’t watch it, they’re killing discovery of and interest in the show, which will lead to a second season no one cares about and they’ll have to cancel it anyway…

Paramount didn’t want to pay royalties to the writers after it got a bit popular.

So my understanding is Paramount, the production company who produced this show, is not the same as Paramount+, sort of like how shows produced by 20th Century Fox sometimes appeared on other networks. The production company retains licensing rights to Prodigy and is trying to find another streaming partner. I believe they’re also the ones who produced the Blu-ray.

I hope the slow finds a new home, but I really want them to put out a complete season on Blu-ray instead of just the first ten episodes.
