- Comment on Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard deal approved by UK regulators 1 year ago:
I mean, I’ve not been particularly disappointed at how Disney has handled the Fox properties. They’ve had some duds with the Star Wars and Marvel lines, but the stuff that’s come to D+ under the Fox banner, Solar Opposites, all the Simpsons, new Futurama, films like Banshees of Inershirin, Prey, No One Will Save You, etc have all been pretty good.

Hi-Fi Rush by Tango is Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam. And came out during the run you listed above.

Benefits me as an Xbox owning, Gamepass subscribing consumer.
- Comment on Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard deal approved by UK regulators 1 year ago:
All three of them that actually get any focus under ABK at the moment? If anything we might get to see some of the ones usually ignored have a day in the sun if MS wants to diversify their Gamepass offerings. We may get that Tony Hawk’s 3&4 remake rather than Volition being thrown in the CoD mines, a Crash or Spyro game with Rares involvement, etc.
- Comment on Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard deal approved by UK regulators 1 year ago:
Because this won’t give MS a monopoly in the slightest. There’s still tons of Devs and publisher’s out there on various states of first, second and third party relationships with MS, Sony and Nintendo and new indie Devs pop up almost weekly. It gives them a massive advantage having CoD as a first party Gamepass title, yes, but that’s not what a monopoly means.
- Comment on Official Trailer | Star Trek x Kid Cudi: Mirror Mayhem 1 year ago:
This seems like one of the most bizarrely misjudged crossover promotions I think I’ve ever seen.
- Comment on Star Trek: Infinite discussion 1 year ago:
It’s only £25 and if it’s successful then it shows Paramount there’s a market for Trek games beyond the mobile pap we got for years. Same with Resurgence earlier in the year.
- Comment on Star Trek: Infinite discussion 1 year ago:
Played about an hour and a half last night. It seems essentially a glorified Trek themed Stellaris expansion. Which given it was only £25 quid I don’t mind too much.
- Comment on Waving Palestinian flag may be a criminal offence, Braverman tells police 1 year ago:
If you want to have a two person conversation, do it in DMs. This is a forum and the conversations are open to all. I’m not classing the whole country as terrorists, I mad another comment further up specifically saying the Palestine flag is not a terrorist symbol. I’m saying that the Jews were given the land legally by the Brits and international community and the Arab nations surrounding immediately attacked them, which is what happened.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestine_(region)
History of the region is all there mate, educate yourself.
- Comment on Waving Palestinian flag may be a criminal offence, Braverman tells police 1 year ago:
How Britain legitimately won the land from the Ottoman Empire, handed it to the Jews and the Arabs were attacking them within hours of the nation forming?
- Comment on Waving Palestinian flag may be a criminal offence, Braverman tells police 1 year ago:
It’s complicated, the Palestinian flag isn’t a terrorist symbol, the Hamas flag is. But hate crimes are based on intention and perception, so driving around a Jewish area waving it right after an attack launched from Gaza is clearly intended to cause distress. Same as sitting outside a Ukrainians house with a Russian flag at the moment.
- Comment on Waving Palestinian flag may be a criminal offence, Braverman tells police 1 year ago:
You don’t think a Hamas flag represents pretty similar sentiment to the Nazi flag at present?
- Comment on Waving Palestinian flag may be a criminal offence, Braverman tells police 1 year ago:
They’ve been trying to clamp down on it since before Braverman was HS.
- Comment on Waving Palestinian flag may be a criminal offence, Braverman tells police 1 year ago:
How often does that realistically happen, there aren’t cars full of Jews doing laps of Whitechapel with Isreali flags when this kicks off, it’s always the other way around.
- Comment on Elon Musk Allegedly Sent ‘Scorched-Earth Letter’ to Warner Bros. Demanding to Keep Amber Heard in ‘Aquaman 2’ 1 year ago:
How is the production on almost every DCEU film such a shitshow behind the scenes. We had all the Justice League stuff, The Rock throwing his weight around and cratering Back Adams chances and now this.
- Comment on Hamas, federation and legality 1 year ago:
No, I specifically said that’s not what this is about. I was interested in the legal ramifications as it pertains to federated networks and hosting. It’s an apoltical query. If you want a row, look elsewhere.
- Comment on Hamas, federation and legality 1 year ago:
Is there a way to report content on here to your instance mod rather than the mods of the specific community?
- Comment on Hamas, federation and legality 1 year ago:
As I said, I’m not here to have a row about the morals of the situation, you can take that to a million other places right now. I’m asking about the risk to instances of material that’s illegal in the host nation being spread to them by federation.

Yeah, but at the end of each one it proudly announces that Animated Trek only consists of LD and TAS.
- Comment on Star Trek: very Short Treks | "Walk, Don't Run" 1 year ago:
It’s like someone made a Star Trek parody for Adult Swim in the mid 2000s and it somehow got left on the shelf for seventeen years before being recently discovered. That whole, take old cartoon footage and redub it was huge back then.
- Comment on Mike McMahan Calls On Fans To Help Keep ‘Star Trek: Lower Decks’ From Facing The Same Fate As ‘Prodigy’ 1 year ago:
Yeah, that’s the irritating thing about P+, they think they’re worth the same as D+ a month with only one big franchise to their name. D+ brought together Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and Fox content before launching.

Same here, I was there day one watching legally when it was ok Amazon, then they pulled the rug out from under me at the last moment, so no it gets torrented. Sorry Mike, blame your managers mate.

If one we had shows to appeal to a new audience, say an all ages CG animation, wouldn’t that be great eh Paramount?
- Comment on Boldly Be with Star Trek and Kid Cudi 1 year ago:
The best Star Trek song is Final Frontier by Swamp Thing, I doubt Cudi will be able to pack as many references into his bars as they managed in that track.
- Comment on Epic Games to update Unreal Engine pricing for devs not making games 1 year ago:
Because like all the tech industry, they grew massively on the back of low interest rates since 2008 where investors saw better returns putting money into companies than sitting on it, now the interest rates have shot up again post Covid, they need to show their investors they can make better returns than the 5%+ they’d make just leaving the money in the bank. Hence the cost cutting by sacking staff and gouging of customers by price increases.
- Comment on London apartment block that deviates from plans must be torn down, says council 1 year ago:
I’m betting, based on how much building is going on along the Greenwich riverside, that this was approved pre-covid, then when the costs started rising afterward they thought they could cut corners to save a few bob.
- Comment on London apartment block that deviates from plans must be torn down, says council 1 year ago:
It’s a buy to rent building, they’re all owned by the Devs/investors and rented out. People will just end their tenancies.
- Comment on London apartment block that deviates from plans must be torn down, says council 1 year ago:
Luckily it’s a buy to rent building so the residents are only on tenancies and can leave easily, they aren’t stuck with long term leases on worthless flats like those who brought ones in cladded buildings.
If I was one of them though, I’d be trying to get the developers to pay for my moving costs.
