Bro don’t blame the apps/sites for shitty parenting.
Comment on useful FreeTube vs shitty YouTube
werefreeatlast@lemmy.world 5 weeks agoThat’s the point. YouTube is pornographical and unlike pornhub you got no control to turn it off. So when my kids login to my computer what? I can’t turn that shit off. That’s one fucked up website.

until what age do you consider someone a kid?

Depends on Jurisdiction/Country, but someone should not be on the internet when they weren’t legally able to get a contract with an internet service provider themselves.

Stop watching weirdly sexual YouTube videos if you’re worried your kids will see it?

Its an it-like test. You literally need a router to block YouTube.com via DNS and every other means of site blocking possible.

No bro, you need to manage and restrict their devices and accounts before giving them one. There is parental options everywhere. If you decide to not use them, that’s on you.
But clearly you don’t want to invest time in proper parenting.

actually I don’t have devices for the kids. The only thing available is the TV but we don’t have YouTube in it. YouTube is a pornographical addiction system and people should have to click on a adult confirmation thing to use it.
Now that pornhub has a confirm you’re an adult step before entering, having something like that for YouTube just makes sense. It would remind everyone that the site is for adults since it has uncontrolled adult content in it.
