    You just have to constantly fire the turrets downwards near the failed turbine to keep everything level. I don’t see an issue there at all.

  Why do they even need runways for taking off? Yeah you want to make sure your engines start but it’s not like you need to reach a specific speed to take off nor do you need to be generating lift.

  Imagine how much more quickly you could react by just dropping all your aircraft off the side at the same time (with engines running) rather than be bottlenecked behind individual runway use

    Those carriers are amphibious, they land on water. Presumably they want to be able to operate on the surface as well.
