some people are unaware of their luck or that other people within their sphere can be leading a completely different kind of life because they donāt have the same privilege
many years ago I read one of Richard Wrightās autobiographies, the one of him growing. He wrote how when he was older and famous he contacted some of his white classmates from high school to talk about life in the South.
Wright was treated poorly by his teachers, given no to little encouragement , not recommended for college. His classmates told him they were given every opportunity and encouragement and treated very nicely by their teachers. His white classmates had no clue the black students were treated differently by teachers as it was done in private.
I think many people who have carefree lives just have no clue that life is harder for other people. That accent, skin colour, family, school, suburb, opens and close doors and itās just luck
I donāt blame people for being unaware of inequality. I wish everyone was treated well. I do blame people if they are bastards holding others down.

Iāll be honest, banning yourself from news helps me a lot because sometimes itās just way too much for me.
I enjoy listening to my radio talk shows because in a bubble they have a rule for not talking about news in the world or politics for the most part.
I also have tools for some escapisms when I need it.
Itās not healthy to be connected constantly to bad news every day.

Triple Mās Rush hour, a lot of rubbish and nonsense type fun there which I donāt mind.
I have some other stuff on the side like all my sports podcasts but also have Sushi Mango and Hamish and Andy as well.
