funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 5 days agoHaving lived in both - often having a have pint of 4%. lager is enough to prevent people from driving, in the US having two pints of 7.5% IPA and smoking weed wouldn’t been seen as unusual before a 30 min drive home.

Eh, in my state, the legal limit is low enough (0.05% BAC) that you could be over the limit with that lager. In every other state you can have two regular drinks and be under the limit (0.08% BAC), though many states have a zero tolerance (0% BAC) if you’re under 21.
Oh, and if you’re a POC, the BAC limit is cut in half.
