I don’t know if you’ve ever realized this, but not everybody is the same as you or shares the same experiences as you. It might seem like physical menus are obsolete to you, but there are millions of people who cannot use this QR code system for menus. It does not matter what year it is, accessibility needs to be provided for those without access to QR code menus. Just because you can use them, doesn’t mean everyone else can.
Physical maps exist. Other people exist to ask for directions. Cash exists. How do you think people functioned before smartphones were a thing? Jeez dude, it’s like you think that just because it’s 2023, the ways of doing things before smartphones are suddenly not an option because of them. Again, not everybody has access to cellphones or wants to use them just to read a friggin menu.

Again, doesn’t feel like an excuse in 2023. How did you find the restaurant without GPS? How will you pay without the internet? Cash?
This is a boomer’s argument, for preventing a waste of menus being printed, every time prices change.

Someone doesnt know what fake QR codes are, or the huge privacy risk associated with scanning random things out in the world.

Hacks the restaurant’s website, import a fake menu link, infect phones over time and slowly sell fullz on the DW
Or you know, maybe that might be too much work for the 10$ in grandma’s bank account.

At SOME point along the way, this theoretical person could have just printed their own menu, map, and directions.
